    Hey Mathieu,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

Looking at the configuration, I was hoping to see something stand out as unusual or as a common conflict but unfortunately nothing is jumping out as too out of the ordinary.

Here are a couple of ideas that’ll hopefully help us get to the bottom of the issue:

    1. We just put out an update to version 3.9.6 that fixed some issues based on different hosting configurations. Although the direct problem was different from the one you’re experiencing, it may help in this case as well.
    2. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if there is a conflict?
    3. Is your site being hosted on a Windows server?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for following up.

To the first response, sure you can definitely format it that way by first assigning the organizer id to a variable.

Secondly, you can really add it wherever you would like it to display within the template. Personally, I would probably add it between the “tribe-events-single-event-description” div within the template you’ve linked.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Joe,

I apologize for the delayed response. If you wouldn’t mind, please send an email to support[at]theeventscalendar.com and I can get you squared away with a copy of WooCommerce Tickets. Just provide a link to this thread within the email.

I apologize for the inconveniences that you have faced so far with the Eventbrite plugin. We typically don’t allow these types of trades this long after purchase but since this is due to a situation that was out of both of our controls, I will be happy to get you set up with both the EB plugin and our WooCommerce plugin.

    Thanks!

    Hey Joe,

I do apologize for and understand your frustration. If a theme has customizations that affect the way our plugin works, we can’t guarantee that it will continue to work as we make updates to plugins. Particularly when those updates are as extensive as a complete rewrite of how a plugin interacts with a third-party API.

In this case, since we’re unable to replicate the specific issue, the first thing we have to do is get to a base comparison to determine what the conflict may be. If the issue persists even with a default theme and other plugins deactivated it tells us that there is definitely some issue that we need to find a solution for and potentially modify our code.

If the issue does happen to be your theme, we would still be happy to work with you in trying to determine what the issue and conflict is with the code that is being used for the customization.

If you would still like a refund, please send an email with your receipt to support[at]theeventscalendar.com.

I apologize again for the frustration that has arisen from this unavoidable update that we have had to make to the plugin.

    Thanks!

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for running these tests. A couple of things noticed when looking at the screenshots you’ve provided (these are very helpful by the way!).

    1. The event associated with this screenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/0c2kfzsgeshbiyo/screenshot2.jpg?dl=0 isn’t set up to use Eventbrite tickets. You’ll need to select the “Yes” at the bottom where it says “Register this event with eventbrite.com”. You’ll then have the option to create the tickets as well as the option I described previously about displaying the tickets.
    2. Looking at this screenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/vubnl9k44yrnet5/3.9.3.jpg?dl=0 (mainly the location of the form as well as the event details to the left). Along with the existence of a “config-events-calendar” file within your theme, it looks like the theme could potentially be the cause of the current conflict. Have you tried switching to a default WordPress theme (the Twenty Twelve theme for example) to see if the issue persists?

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Thanks for providing this additional information. I just tested this with a fresh install using the latest versions of the plugin. I updated my settings to match yours and then added the Facebook page IDs that you’re currently using as well.

With all of these things the same, I was able to recreate the issue that you’re experiencing. The West End Cultural Centre venue (and it looks like only that venue) gets created multiple times on import.

I’m going to do a bit more research to attempt to narrow in on the possible cause/configuration. I’ll then get an internal ticket logged for tracking this issue. As our team progresses with a solution, you’ll be notified here of our progress.

I apologize again for the inconvenience this has caused.

    Thanks!

    Hey Victoria,

I apologize for the confusion. I’ve just updated the gist with a little more structure, showing exactly where to add the markup you would like in controlling the layout for the loop.

If you would like further assistance in getting the custom template set up, you can reach out to a recommended developer. If you send an email to support[at]theeventscalendar.com we’d be happy to supply a list of recommended developers.

    Thanks!

    Hey Fi,

I’m glad this solution worked for you! For the month view of the calendar, that setting is controlled by the “Date with year” setting above the previous one. You can add the day there by making the same changes as was made in the previous example.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Patrick,

No problem! and I definitely can appreciate the time savings. Many times the biggest hurdles can be just figuring out where to look for what you’re wanting to modify.

Also, thanks for the encouragement! It’s always great to get positive feedback 🙂

I’ll go ahead and close this thread. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.

    Thanks!

    Hey Sarah,

Thanks for following up! I’m not positive based on how your install is set up, but my assumption would be that the theme at “public_html/themes/GeoPlaces3/functions.php” actually isn’t tied to your WordPress site and only changes made to “public_html/familyfriendlyhudsonvalley/wp-content/themes/GeoPlaces3/functions.php” would show up on the site.

Since you get the white screen when adding to that page, it sounds like the snippet is either being pasted in a bad place within the file, possible within another function or after a closing “?>”. When copying, ensure you add it to the very end of the file and ensure if anything comes after it, it is just a closing “?>” and not any other characters such as a “}”.

This should get rid of the white screen of death issue as well as allow the changes to display on your site.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
