ParticipantHey Dan,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You can accomplish imports from iCal feeds with our new iCal Importer plugin! Also, our plugin does offer export links for events that generate an iCal feed. You can see these on the main calendar views as well as on the individual events.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh

ParticipantHey Josh,
Thanks for following up with us.
Out of curiosity, how are these photos being added to the events to display within the list view here. By default, the list view should display the featured image for the event and then link to the event. The image being pulled on your event list view doesn’t appear to be pulling the featured image in in the default way and is linking to the image file.
My assumption would be this is something done by the theme and you can verify by switching to a default WordPress theme to see if the images are working in the same way.
Thanks!
Josh

ParticipantHey cliffy,
It looks like you are most likely experiencing issues due to a new bug we’ve found based on different date formats. Within your datepicker settings (the last field in the second screenshot you sent) can you try changing the date format to “mm/dd/yyyy”, ensuring that you’re using “/” for separator rather than “-” and see if that resolved the recurring events issues.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Peter,
Thanks for following up!
Out of curiosity, when getting that $post_id from the ACF field, can you take that and compare the ID to the recurring event? From the main “Events” view within your dashboard, hover over the last event within the recurring series does the post ID being selected by ACF match the “Edit All” post ID or does it match the “Edit Single” post ID?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Cliff,
How’s it going? We met a couple of years ago at WordCamp Atlanta and I really enjoyed the talk you gave!
Sorry to see that you’re experiencing load issues due to this feature! I see that you’ve got another ticket open for that so I won’t dig into that here.
As a temporary fix, you can prevent that dropdown from loading in the admin with this snippet.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Nina,
I took another look at the conflicts on your site and it looks like there are some other conflicts that are also being generated by plugins. In addition to some caused by the theme, there is one caused by the “find-your-reps” plugin. Once those are deactivated, you can use the “Developer Tools” within your chosen browser to see these conflicts to see if any others persist.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Aimee,
Thanks for following up!
So this happened after an update to our Core Events Calendar plugin or to WordPress core? Out of curiosity, does the issue persist if you switch to a default WordPress theme? Also, along those lines, is this the theme that you’re currently using on your site http://themes.mysitemyway.com/dejavu/?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Rebecca,
To reset expectations here, we are limited in the support that we are able to provide for conflicts due to customizations or theme conflicts. I have tested the entire file, however with the conflicts due to not having all of the dependencies required as well as not having the DOM elements in my theme that are used as targets for many of these functions, it definitely wouldn’t have been an accurate test.
The best approach at this point is to narrow in on the exact conflicts here. Have you had a chance to disable each function individually within that file? You did mention the toggle functions, however even for some of those I am seeing references to “Waypoints” in those that do add an extra potential layer of conflict.
I apologize I can’t give you a direct answer here but hopefully this helps to get you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Everyone,
Thanks for adding to this thread.
This is a known bug that we now have an internal ticket logged for tracking progress. I’ve added this thread to that ticket so you all will be notified here as we make progress on this one.
One note though, after further testing, recurring events should work if you have the following structure (mm/dd/yyyy ensuring that you’re using the “/” rather than “-” within that setting). If you’re still experiencing a 404, try re-saving your permalinks (Settings > Permalinks) and see if that resolves the issue after creating the event.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Andrew,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We ask that you open a new thread since there can be many solutions for similar issues and each customer having their own thread helps us to ensure that we’re addressing every users concerns directly.
I can verify though that I just did some tests again and was able to successfully complete the sell of a ticket without replicating the issue described here. We definitely understand not being able to modify plugins/themes on a live site, if you have the opportunity to create a staging or testing environment based on your live site, that will definitely help in narrowing down the issue when opening a new thread.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m noticing some strange behavior while attempting to recreate and will be doing some further testing. To help, would you mind letting me know:
- What is your Date Format setting for the datepicker within the Event Settings (Event Settings > Display > Datepicker Date Format ) https://cloudup.com/cP5YyUjYPdY
- What is your Date Format settings within the WordPress General settings page https://cloudup.com/crnomN-Pw4D.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Nina,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I took a look at your site and noticed the issue you’re describing. In this case, it appears that the most likely culprit is a javascript conflict. We use AJAX to load the events when navigating between months. Currently on your site there appears to be several javascript issues (https://cloudup.com/cXi48UDjicY) that could be hindering this action from occurring.
Have you tried switching to a default WordPress theme to see if the issues persist? If not, you’ll need to resolve the other javascript conflicts on the page before the calendar will function as expected.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Josh,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Can you provide us with a bit more information here such as links or screenshots. On my local install, I’m not seeing a following “…” as part of the image.
At the root, there could be something being added by another plugin or by your theme. Does the issue persist if you follow our Testing for Conflicts procedures?
Thanks!
