ParticipantHey Trey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Would you mind sending me, in a private reply, the two separate URLs for the front-end of your site as well as the admin?
Additionally, would you be able to send me a screenshot, also in the same private reply, of the settings that you have selected within the Eventbrite App management settings here https://cloudup.com/ckfNfHxNwMm?
Thanks!
August 12, 2015 at 7:03 am in reply to: Tag and Category pages to show old events as well as "upcoming" #995357Josh
ParticipantHey gabba,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Current, there is the option to click “Previous Events” when looking at the list view of and event category or tag archive. Do you have that link on your list view?
For some people, the way those past events are displayed may feel counter-intuitive and may be what you’re experiencing when looking at that listing. If you would like, you can also change the order of the listing with this snippet https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/show-past-events-in-chronological-order/.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
August 12, 2015 at 6:41 am in reply to: Import event changes setting for displaying # of remaining tickets in EventBrite #995353Josh
ParticipantHey Jessie,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Let me make sure I’m understanding the issue:
- You create an event on Eventbrite.com. Within those settings, you leave https://cloudup.com/cmQuHdQSWyP “unchecked”
- You then grab the event ID for that event and import it into your WordPress site
- After importing, that setting on eventbrite.com gets updated and becomes checked?
Let me know if these are the steps you’re taking and if this is the issue you’re describing.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Bud,
Thanks for the clarification!
Unfortunately, at the moment, something like that would require the use of setting up two recurring events. One for the 2nd Tuesday and another for the 4th.
We do have an upcoming release where we’re working out a random recurrence option that would allow you to select specific dates for the recurrence. I can’t give you a set date that release but it should be coming out in the next couple of releases.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Peter,
That’s definitely strange. Here are the settings that I have for that field https://cloudup.com/cfV6B0KZXUS.
Comparing to your original screenshot, it looks like you may have ACF Pro activated? Out of curiosity, I wonder if you deactivate ACF Pro temporarily if the options would be different in that dropdown?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Bud,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You should be able to get the recurring set up that you’re looking for by utilizing the “custom” recurrence. Take a look at the following set up (https://cloudup.com/cfxNKYz2a_K) and let me know if that fits what you’re trying to accomplish.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Peter,
Thanks for adding the screenshot!
I tested pulling a post object and when I go to select the event using the field added to the page edit screen, I’m able to see the main recurring event as well as all instances of the recurrence in the dropdown (https://cloudup.com/cR25KCXL7m9). If I select the first one (non-indented one) it will output the main ID for the recurring event. If I select one of the others, it will give me the ID for that single instance of the recurring event.
Do you not have the same options when looking at the events dropdown?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Leslie,

We have had accessibility reviews performed on our plugins and unfortunately there are some elements that are not WCAG 2.0 compatible at the moment.
After a long development cycle for our last updates, we’ve again looped back around to reviewing the accessibility of our plugin as well as the changes that will need to be made. With this though, we will be working toward changes that will make us more compatible with WCAG 2.0 however that may not end up being the specific guidelines that we’re using and aligning to for all of our changes.
However, once we do start making those adjustments, the difference based on standards will most likely be very minimal at best.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Shannon,
I apologize for the confusion.
You’ll need FTP access to your server. You can find out more information and specifics for working on your server by contacting your hosting provider and requesting more information from them.
I apologize I’m not able to give you a more direct answer but you should be able to get everything you need in detail from your hosting provider.
Thanks!
August 10, 2015 at 6:11 pm in reply to: How to get Events Calendar Pro and Community Add-On to a Specific Page on site. #994905Josh
ParticipantHey Victoria,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately you can’t currently embed the complete calendar and community events views into specific pages. You can however link directly to the “/events” page on your site in the same way you would link to the page you are wanting to use.
For example, if you would like to add a link to the events page within your navigation, you can add a custom link (https://cloudup.com/c5XjcHfAFzY) to the menu to accomplish that link. You can do the same for the Community Events views as well (such as the submission and “my events” pages).
If you would like to still pursue a refund, you can submit a request to support[at]theeventscalendar.com including your original receipt with your request.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

This is actually a known bug with one of our latest releases. We’ve got an internal ticket for tracking this and I’ve added this thread to that ticket. You’ll be notified here as we make progress on this issue.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Cliffy,
This does sound like this is most likely a theme styling issue. Would you mind linking me directly to one of the events that this is occurring with and I can take a look for a potential fix.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Radek,
Thanks for following up!
That’s understandable, I’ve made the feature suggestion on our internal ticketing system, I can’t give a time for when or if this type of update will be made but it is being reviewed by our development team.
It looks like full upload currently isn’t an option for general translators. There is only the ability to edit and submit the translations for review directly on the site.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Peter,
Thanks for following up!
It sounds like the issue here then isn’t the frontend output of the event but rather within the selection. If the selection within the dashboard is being assigned the ID of the last event within the series, it will display that last event rather than the recurrence.
I am a bit limited in the support that I am able to provide for customizations such as this but being an ACF user myself as well, I’m happy to take a look at a screenshot of how you have the post selection built and I can see if there is a better way so it’ll grab the global recurring event rather than single instance IDs.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Xavier,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You could download Poedit and take the French translation files and update them to be what you would like there. You would then replace the default language files with your own .po files by adding them to the languages folder within the plugin.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
