I had to renew my license key for events pro, however when I pasted the new license key in the back end of my website, I still get the following error on my website: Fatal error: Call to undefined function tribe_has_past_events() in /nfs/c10/h01/mnt/141694/domains/svmbc.org/html/svmbc/wp-content/themes/bssc/tribe-events/list/nav.php on line 30

I use wordpress and am not able to view any events on my company website. Can you please help?

    Hey Shannon,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It looks like your theme is using a function (tribe_has_past_events()) that has been deprecated from our plugin since version 3.7.

You’ll need to edit your theme to either remove that file completely (wp-content/themes/bssc/tribe-events/list/nav.php) or remove the call to that function from line 30 of that file.

I apologize for the inconvenience, let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.

    Thanks!

Thank you. One last question, where do I go to edit/remove the file. I have been poking around in wordpress and haven not been able to access this.

    Thank you.

    Hey Shannon,

No problem and thanks for following up!

While on your server, you can find the file at “/wp-content/themes/bssc/tribe-events/list/nav.php”. You can either delete the file or remove the entire line referencing the “tribe_has_past_events()”.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh –

Thank you for getting back to me. My problem, is I am not clear as to what you mean when I am on my server? When i am logged in to WordPress, where would I have access to fix this issue? Under themes, dashboard? I have still not been able to get this fixed.

    Thank you.

    Hey Shannon,

    I apologize for the confusion.

You’ll need FTP access to your server. You can find out more information and specifics for working on your server by contacting your hosting provider and requesting more information from them.

I apologize I’m not able to give you a more direct answer but you should be able to get everything you need in detail from your hosting provider.

    Thanks!
