ParticipantHey Corrado,
Thanks for following up with us.
I took a look through your previous thread with George and it looks like it last left off with him requesting that you follow the Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if there was a potential conflict with an existing plugin or theme since he was unable to replicate some of those original issues.
Were you able to go through those testing procedures?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Alexandra,
Thanks for following up with us.
All of our strings are translatable. Are there translations available on http://translations.theeventscalendar.com for the missing strings in the languages that you’re using?
Also, there are some existing conflicts with our plugin and most other multi-language plugins. We have made some adjustments in our next upcoming release that will fix a lot of issues with the WPML. Not sure if the root issues are the same here but there could potentially be some conflicts when it comes to the translated versions of the pages.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Nicholas,
No problem. Happy to help!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Ann,
I apologize for any confusion that I may have caused with my previous responses. I understand the importance of this information for you and your site as well as the impact that it has on your users. I’ll try to hit all of your points with full details here:
- You’re currently posting to this forum while logged into this site correct? You should be able to visit https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ and download the latest versions of the plugins without repurchasing them. According to our records, it looks like you should have access to download the latest versions of the Filter Bar plugin as well as Events Calendar PRO from that page. Are you unable to see those on that downloads link? You can download the latest version of our Core plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/.
- It sounds like you’re able to access the files on your site via FTP? The events that you have entered are stored in your site’s database. This means that you can replace the files on the server without worrying about losing that content that you have added. I would recommend deleting the three plugins (The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, and Filter Bar) completely from the “wp-content/plugins” folder on your server and replacing them with the fresh versions you downloaded in step 1.
- You can then log back into your WordPress dashboard and activate the plugins again.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Kurt,
Thanks for following up with us.
I took a look at your site and can see the issue you’re describing. A couple of things to try:
- Can you try editing all events within the series and the resaving the recurrence series?
- Can you also try re-saving your permalinks settings within the Settings > Permalinks tab within your WordPress dashboard.
Let me know if either of these help.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Oliver,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
The slug should be in the translation file. If you search the translation for “add” you’ll see that the translation is currently set to “hinzufügen”. When the translation is used for the slug, it gets run through “sanitize_title()” which causes it to be “hinzufuegen” which is why you’re unable to find that version within the translation file.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Penny,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
There are a couple of options when trying to modify the template that is used for our calendar views.
- First, you can chose to use one of the page template available within your theme. You can switch that within the Event Settings > Display tab (https://cloudup.com/cuy7jJR5HHO).
- If the first option doesn’t work, you do have another alternative however it may require a bit more customization. You can follow our Themer’s Guide to copy the “default-template.php” file from the core Events Calendar plugin into your theme. You can then review the “page.php” file from your theme and apply the desired sidebars and section from that page to the default events calendar template.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for following up. Have you tried switching to a default WordPress theme? It sounds like there may be some type of conditional code which is being added based on a login condition that could be added by your theme.
Let me know if the issue persists with a default theme.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Paul,
Thanks for following up with us. This is definitely a strange one. I can see it happen occasionally on your site in Firefox. It’s not consistent, it sometimes happens on page load and sometimes doesn’t.
Would you mind temporarily switching to a default theme and seeing if the issue persist there?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Karen,
I apologize but I don’t believe I’m understanding the issue here. It sounds like your calendar is creating events that you don’t want to be created after you delete them?
The limitation of the 24 months shouldn’t be a perpetual thing. If you created an event a month ago, it shouldn’t create another months worth of events now that a month has passed.
Would you mind giving a little more detail about the original issue that your trying to fix? That may give me enough information to understand what you’re looking for.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Awesome! I’m glad that worked for you.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Winston,
Thanks for providing these links. Unfortunately, these are relative to your account on Eventbrite.com. When I click them, they take me to my personal account with an error since I don’t have an app with the id of “44762”.
To get a screenshot of that page that you’re able to send, you can use a tool such as https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html. There is a free download of that tool available. You can use it to take a “picture” of your screen and send us that picture via a link.
We’ll then have the proper information to determine whats happening with the authorization of the app.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Ann,
Thanks for following up with this information.
For the first issue with the missing file, it sounds like you may no longer have full versions of the plugin installed on your site. This could be due to the initial issue when trying to update. The best thing to do now would be to download the latest versions of the plugins from your account here on http://theeventscalendar.com and install them on your site via FTP (if you’re unsure about how to do this, your hosting provider most likely has a tutorial for handling this best on their servers).
For the backend filters, we did recently remove those from the core plugin in favor of having those be their own plugin. You can download that plugin here https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-post-manager/.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey David,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue. I took a look at the site and it appears that the link being generated is correct, however the query string gets removed from the link when clicking (or attempting to access directly).
As an initial step, can you verify that you’ve followed the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t another conflict at play here?
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Branson,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This definitely sounds like a strange issue to be having. I checked your site and noticed that the price filters were no longer activated (definitely understandable due to performance issues).
Out of curiosity, about how many future events do you have on your site currently? Would you also mind sending us a database dump of your current events in a private reply? We can do some further testing to see how the filter is performing at the scale of your current site.
Thanks!
