ParticipantSorry to hear this, Gretchen!
I cannot recreate this behavior, so am curious about what might be happening. To help me investigate, can you clarify what your site’s Peramlinks settings are? (They’re not listed in the System Information you posted)?
For example, are the permalinks set to /%postname%/ ?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Josh,
Thanks for reaching out and for reporting this. I will certainly be in dialogue with our developers about your claims so that we can verify them and start working on a fix.
In the meantime, though:
1. Can you please clarify what specific plugin you’re referring to here? Are you referring to The Events Calendar, for example? Or Events Calendar Pro?
2. Next, can you please clarify what version of this plugin you’re referring to?
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Bryan,
Thanks for reaching out!
We do not make the Explicit theme nor the slider feature within it, so there may not be much we can help with here in terms of why their slider feature is not working with events.
What we can try to help with, though, is that it sounds like maybe you used to have Post Tags on your Events before? And now maybe don’t.
• Can you confirm if you still have Post Tags on your Events? I.e. you can add new tags to events, etc.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Adage,
Thanks for clarifying the problem here, and I’m sorry for my misunderstanding it thus far! What you describe here is the problem:
I think this is because the parent categories are not checked : only children categories are checked.
☝️This is exactly correct: Events only belong to “checked” categories, and the only categories that get added as HTML classes to events are the categories they belong to.
There is unfortunately no way to do modify this behavior without some extensive custom coding. 🙁 We unfortunately cannot help with that, as elaborated upon here.
However, I will try to write some custom code to make this happen because there may be a simple way to do this.
I apologize in advance for the time it will take me to come up with this custom code, if I can at all: I will have to tinker a bit and test it out and such.
But sit tight! I will post an update soon with news about whether I can pull this off with custom code or not.

ParticipantThanks for confirming you’ve updated, @Jacquie—sorry to hear that issues persist.
Can you share a screenshot of the “Time and Date” section of the edit screen for the specific event you linked to? (http://sunshinecentres.com/event/seniors-together-place-16-2017-01-25/)
To clarify, this “Time and Date” section is where the time, date, and recurrence options are configured for an event. Here is an example of what a “Time and Date” screenshot might look like → https://cldup.com/JLJmZjrBFx-3000×3000.png
You can share screenshots by uploading the images to this thread. If you have issues with that, you can upload to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Fadi,
1. Have you removed all custom coding from your site?
2. Next, when you say “Nothing changed”, can you please clarify this? The default display is “Days in one letter”, as you describe: M, T, W, etc. If this is NOT what you want, can you please clarify what you want instead of this Days in One Letter display?
Thank you for your patience,
GeorgeGeorge
