    Hey Corrado,

Your feedback is much appreciated and you should know that we are working very hard to fix all of these bugs as soon as possible.

I wish you the best of luck with your project and urge you to stay tuned to our updates – check the changelogs for bug fixes!

I will close this ticket but if you have other support issues when you come back from your project after August 17, just a open a new thread any time.

    Cheers!

    Hey Cliffy,

It seems like the issue is essentially that if you change this option in the back-end of your site, everything works fine and the option is respected.

But that the checkbox on the front-end of your site does not work.

So the best way to share that is just to explain that fact to theme developer:

β€’ When the checkbox is on display, you cannot check it.
β€’ But the option itself works fine, so it’s just a display/UI issue with the checkbox itself.
β€’ The error does not persist in a default WordPress theme so the Kriesi theme appears to be the culprit.

That should be plenty to begin with, I hope it helps!

    Hello,

I’m sorry I didn’t see this original post of yours, but I did respond to your duplicate version of this thread over here β†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/single-event-from-category-loop/

I’ll close this ticket so we can keep the conversation there for simplicity’s sake.

    Cheers!

    Hey Shub,

Sorry to hear this! Can you elaborate a bit more an exactly what is happening? When you say “page title”, for example, do you mean the <title&gt: HTML tag for the page? Or do you mean a heading title in the page content itself?

Finally, for now, why do you suspect your theme is the source of this? Have you tested other themes, for example? Or is the “page title” you refer to something that is provided by the theme itself, which works on all other pages but not on events pages?

Apologies for the lack of understanding on my part, just curious for more information because I want to make sure I help fix the right problem! πŸ™‚

    Hey Gwyneth,

You can certainly create two different events for Part One and Part Two, and then create a post or page that lists both events, however there is not built-in functionality to automatically split up events like this and allow the selection of one or the other without custom coding on your part.

Sorry if that’s a huge bummer! Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Cheers,

    Hey there,

[loop] is not a shortcode that is included in any of our plugins, nor is [content field].

Those are therefore coming from another plugin or your theme, so your best course of action here is to contact the support team for this software and inquire about this.

If you don’t want to use shortcodes anymore, a better option might be to use our tribe_get_events() function, if you’re comfortable writing some custom code of course.

You can learn about tribe_get_events() here β†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/

    Hey Pylon,

We are indeed working on this and a number of improvements for Filter Bar and event filtering in general, however the specific features you mentioned here are not included in a public release yet. I do not have a specific date of a planned release at this time, either.

I’m sorry to bear this disappointing news! But please let me know if there’s anything else I can help with here.

    Cheers,

    Hey Rob,

Thank you for sharing this with us and the community at large! Much appreciated.

Can you give some examples of use cases where this code you’ve written would be useful? In other words, can you elaborate on the exact extra features provided here?

    Thank you!

    Hey @toottootdesign,

Thanks for describing things in detail here – there are indeed some occasional buggy behaviors that can arise from our Maps functionality, namely because of things with the Google Maps API, although that does not seem to be the case here based on what you’ve written.

You mention disabling the Map View, but being willing to turn it back on – would you be able to turn it back on for now, just for some troubleshooting purposes from our end of things? We’ll take a look and see how things behave, specifically in regard to that venue you shared at the end of your post. That might help us get a better sense of things here.

    Thank you!

    Hey Sylvia,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you clarify precisely what you mean when you say that when you tried the shortcode, the “Display was awful”?

That shortcode is the best way to go about doing this – if the events didn’t quite look as nice as they do on other parts of your site, this is because of your theme, not The Events Calendar itself.

If you add that shortcode back in, and let us look at the listed events there, we might be able to recommend some custom CSS for you to get you started on the path to customize their appearance and make them look better there. But customizing their appearance with CSS is something you’d have to do to make them look nice.

The other methods for listing the events there are more complicated than the shortcode, and would still have the styling issues because those issues come from your theme, so using the shortcode and writing custom CSS to improve the look of the events is unfortunately the best option here.

Let me know what you think!

    Cheers,
    George

    Hey Howard,

If the users are registered users on your site, then they can log in and navigate to the venue to edit manually. If not, and they are submitting anonymously, then you yourself or another site admin are the only ones able to edit Venues.

    I hope this helps!

    Hey Craig,

Your considering of our plugins as an alternative for your site is much appreciated – thank you!

Most, if not all, of the basic functionality already on display there can be achieved with the free version of The Events Calendar, available here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar

As for the iCal importing features, these can be achieved by adding the iCal Importer add-on, available here β†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/product/ical-importer/

If you buy the iCal Importer and find that it doesn’t suit your needs, shoot us an email at [email protected] for a refund request and we’ll refund it immediately.

    Cheers!

    Hey Howard,

This is mostly a question about WordPress itself, not The Events Calendar. While our plugins don’t have any additional features for collaboration or something, WordPress itself lets you add users and set their “Capabilities” so that, yes, users of a certain level can all edit each other’s events and drafts and such.

You can learn about the basics of that functionality here β†’ https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    George
