ParticipantCurrently the plugin only allows the user to edit their own events. Is their a way to allow a set of users to work collaboratively, in that they can edit events that others have entered? Our sites are used by clubs and typically their are several committee members who work on scheduling.
Alternatively, if the above is not possible, is their a way to change ownership of an event.

ParticipantI realized that as a interim way of solving an immediate issue I have, that I could simply change the author of the event post. However my first question regarding the ability for select users to work collaboratively and edit the same events from the front-end still stands.
I look forward to a response. Thanks!

ParticipantHey Howard,
This is mostly a question about WordPress itself, not The Events Calendar. While our plugins don’t have any additional features for collaboration or something, WordPress itself lets you add users and set their “Capabilities” so that, yes, users of a certain level can all edit each other’s events and drafts and such.
You can learn about the basics of that functionality here → https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
I hope this helps!
Cheers,

ParticipantHi George,
It appears that even when two users share the same roles, only the author of a specific event can edit that event within ‘Community Events’. In other words, when a user who has not authored any events goes to the list url (http://nwltigers.boostmyteam.com/football/events/club/list) they get the following message. “There are no upcoming events in your queue.” They do not see the events that other members of their team have authored.
So the question is, is it possible to have several users with the ability to edit events regardless of the author from the front-end?

ParticipantHey Howard,
Thank you for clarifying that you meant on the front-end here – I’m sorry for my confusion on that!
No, it is not possible to achieve this on the front-end at this time.
I’m sorry to disappoint!
