ParticipantHey Greg,
I’m sorry to hear about this! This is, admittedly, some odd behavior that I’ve never heard of happening before…
I’m curious what might’ve caused this; it may be a result of some of the HTML markup generated by your theme or something.
Regardless of such, unfortunately Google’s search results do not propagate on a set schedule, and there’s no way to “force” and update ๐ It will likely be refreshed in a matter of days. If you have other updates and content changes happening on your site, that will help speed up the process because Google will see that the site has changed since it was last indexed…
I hope this helps!

ParticipantHey Patrick,
Sorry to hear about this on your site โย the error itself is coming from your theme, and you said things worked fine on another host, so I’m not sure if The Events Calendar is breaking things or if there are other things happening on your site…
To further investigate this, I’d recommend first contacting your web host support and/or your theme developer’s support about this issue.
Next, can you share your system information with us? Here’s how to do that โ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Finally, for now, I’d recommend temporarily deactivating The Events Calendar on your site that does have this error โ with The Events Calendar deactivated, does everything work fine? Or do the errors persist even without The Events Calendar active?
Thanks Patrick!
George
ParticipantHey @Bart,
Sorry to hear about this behavior! It’s definitely not normal, and I cannot recreate this behavior on my site ๐
Also, I went to your site here and the page didn’t even load, it was a white screen: http://www.lachai-roi.nl/agenda/
So it seems like there are deeper issues on your site perhaps?
For further investigation, I’d recommend the following:
1. Ensure your site is back up and visible at the link you provide.
2. Share your “system information” with us as described here โ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
These two simple steps will help us progress with troubleshooting.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @DeAnne!
The most straightforward way of doing this would be with some custom CSS; try adding the following CSS to the very bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
body.tribe_community_edit #event_image_uploader {
display: none !important;
}
I hope that helps!

ParticipantHey @Karly,
This works for me, I just tested it:

Can you post your “system information” as described here? โ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks,
GeorgePS โย that’s indeed an error in the KB article, which I fixed right before posting this reply. Thanks for alerting us about that error!

ParticipantHey Makarand,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins!
There is no RSVP support with the plugin at this time, whether you buy the PRO add-on or not.
So, in your list of requirements, numbers #2 and #3 just cannot be met no matter what at this time ๐
#1 and #4 can be met with just The Events Calendar. And #5 can be achieved with the Events Calendar Pro add-on.
But #2 and #3 are not possible at this time.
Sorry to disappoint! Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @kiki,
Sorry to hear about this โย can you link directly to the page with your Filter Bar? I will check it out in both browsers and see what I can learn ๐
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Vlad,
I’m not sure what you posted in regards to the events title โย it seems like maybe some HTML you posted was cut off by our filters. It seemed like you were writing this: “the event title is X not Y as it should be”, where X and Y would be code examples…
Can you try posting the code examples in Gists at http://gist.github.com and then try explaining this point again?
Thank you!

Now as for your general questions here:
Yes, The Events Calendar and all of its add-ons have Valid HTML output and so work well with your site and with the rendering of the HTML on your page. This is the only role their code will play in “SEO” โย “SEO” beyond this is really about regular, consistent content from a site over long periods of times that other websites link to, and so The Events Calendar itself will essentially have no impact on “SEO” beyond the content. If you are concerned about h1 tags or h2 being used for page titles, and stuff like that, then you can customize the calendar code to achieve your goals. We cannot help you with customizing code here on the forums at all, but the process is well documented in our Themer’s Guide here โ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
Finally, as for schema/rich snippets: by default The Events Calendar indeed uses Google’s Structured Data format, and so works well with its rich Events snippets and such. The only way this could be muddled with is if your theme is badly coded and breaks the formatting, which is not likely.
I hope this all helps!

ParticipantHey @james,
Thanks for the kind words about our plugins โย I’m sorry to bear the news, then, that this file you mentioned is not available for replication in your theme or child theme.
Notice the file path for this file:
the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Template/Single_Event.php
That is a core plugin file that cannot be modified.
Only files that are in /src/views can be replicated in themes or child themes, not src/Tribe or any other directory in the plugin.
I’m really sorry about that James! The implication of this is that, to change that string, you’d have to modify that src/Tribe/Template/Single_Event.php file directly; this will require updating after every time you update the plugin, unfortunately.
I’m sorry about the bad news; let me know what you think and if I can help with anything else!

ParticipantHey Jeanette,
I’m really sorry to bear this news, but I looked through all of our submissions and was not able to find anything from, of, or relating to the American Sewing Guild ๐
So it seems like your application has not even reached us yet, which I’m very, very sorry about!
Can you fill out the form again here? โ https://theeventscalendar.com/apply-for-nppp/
I’ll pay close attention to our submissions inbox and see if anything comes in, and will check our spam/junk folder too because maybe our “anti-spam” filters are being too aggressive and accidentally labeled your submission as spam or something.
Thank you Jeanette! If things continue to fail we can use the “private reply” functionality here on the forums and handle things that way.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @kiki,
We unfortunately do not know how much this would cost โย we are not available for hire for code customizations, so you would have to hire a developer elsewhere and their costs will all be different ๐
Sorry about that! Let me know what you think and/or if I can help with anything else.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Leone,
Really sorry to hear about this…this is odd behavior and definitely not the way things should be working.
To try and get to the bottom of this, can you help address each of the following points?
1. Does this happen with literally every event you try and create on your site, no matter what its date and time settings? Or do only some events seem effected?
2. If only some events are effected, can you take screenshots of the edit-event screens for these events and post them to Imgur.com, and then share links to those screenshots so we can take a look?
3. If you head to Settings > General in your wp-admin, your “system information” says your timezone is Los Angeles. If if you change this to just “UTC+0”, are you able to recreate these problems with event times?
Thank you!
GeorgeNovember 2, 2015 at 6:07 am in reply to: Can Import from Eventbright to WP, but can't upload from WP to Eventbright #1020709George
ParticipantHey @docfx,
You cannot make a new event in WordPress and then have it publish to Eventbrite as a new event at this time.
This is largely due to limitations with Eventbrite’s API, which allows READ access [so that we can pull events from eventbrite.com] and only very limited WRITE access.
I hope this answer is clear and helps you move forward with your project; please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions or concerns!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Ty,
Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in our pluginsย โย I’m sorry to bear the news that while we are working hard to implement the features you mentioned, at this time these features are not supported with our plugins ๐
We’re working on the “custom-data-per-ticket” and “custom-attendee-meta” features pretty hard, and have some major updates coming soon that will move us towards having these features implemented, but for now they’re unfortunately possible.
Sorry to disappoint! Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Nicholas,
Thanks for reporting all of this; I noticed right off the bat that you’re using EDD Tickets version 3.9.2, which is outdated.
The current version is 3.12 โย you can get this manually if you head to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Download the 3.12 version of EDD Tickets, replace the 3.9.2 version on your site with it, and let us know if that gets rid of these errors for you and keeps things working well.
Cheers!
