    Thank you for this @Carolyn, and for leaving your site like this while we investigate!

    I just took a look at things; there’s indeed a JavaScript error but it’s not one I can recreate on my own site.

    So for now I think that perhaps your site’s version of jQuery is part of the problem here.

    This may be because of your theme. Can you share a .zip of your theme with us? You can do that by uploading a .zip of your theme to http://ge.tt and then sharing the download link there with us here on this thread.

    I’ll try to take a look there and see what I can find.

    Thank you!

    For sure! We’re pumped about PHP7 and are setting aside some serious time for our developers and QA team to do a full pass.

    Apologies for the inconvenience of these errors for the time being πŸ™ Stay tuned to plugin updates, we’ll be rolling out specific fixes for better PHP7 compatibility over time and each release will bring us closer and closer to 100% compatibility.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Lindsay – I appreciate the information here. I unfortunately do not have further recommendations about what to do here and cannot help further with the custom development you need πŸ™

    I’m sorry to bear that news. I will close this thread for now.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hi Pro, can you please post these questions in a new thread? This thread here is about the specific non-profit-related questions that Kathryn raised.

    Thank you,

    Hey @Sean,

    I’m glad to hear some progress has been made! Unfortunately modifying the link field even further as you described would require code customization beyond the scope of support here πŸ™

    I’m sorry about that!

    If you’re interested in customizing code yourself, this guide is very handy β†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    We also have a list of professional developers who are highly-rated and can be hired for customizations β†’ http://m.tri.be/18k1

    I hope this helps!

    I appreciate the length of your response and the thoughtfulness here.

    To be clear, when I described our reasoning for using the single-field name approach, I was not saying you should not try to change that! πŸ˜€

    If you feel very strongly that a two-field approach is best for your site, then please build that out. Your arguments are great here and well thought out.

    I just have to be honest about two things:

    1. The reasoning why we chose the single-field route ourselves.

    2. The fact that we cannot help change the single-field method to a two-field method. You said that you think this would be a simple change; it is unfortunately not πŸ™ There are many core plugin code components that would need to be modified, an amount of work that is unfortunately far outside the scope of support we can provide.

    If we ever do do make this a simple option in the admin panel, then even this would unfortunately not make it into our plugins for at least a few more releases πŸ™

    I’m sorry about the disappointments here – let me know what you think and if I can help with anything else.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey @mediaversa,

    I’m really sorry about this, but we unfortunately cannot log into customer sites for any reason πŸ™

    With that in mind, then, can you temporarily ensure that that page is publicly accessible? I’ll take a look once it is.

    Sorry for the trouble!

    Hey Insan,

    If you want to charge money for anything and collect payments at all on your site, then yes you will need WooCommerce or something similar.

    As for Community Tickets, please note that this different than Community Events.

    Community Events enables all the functionality we’ve discussed above. If you then also want to add additional features whereby the people who submit events can charge money for them, then yes you can buy Community Tickets and use that too, in addition to Community Events.

    I hope this information helps!

    This is an odd issue Paul, and I’m sorry that you’re experiencing it. The reason I mentioned your theme is because if there are issues that behave one way in one browser, but a different way in another browser, then these issues tend to be related to front-end things like HTML page structure and CSS, which are handled slightly differently across all browsers.

    And these things are primarily dictated by themes on any given page.

    I do not know what the source of the problem is here, unfortunately, and the fact that on some page loads there are simply no CSS styles and no page markup (like in the barebones screenshot I shared above) makes it appear like there are other things causing this sort of behavior.

    It’s an odd issue – I appreciate your patience with this!

    Thanks @Francesco – it seems like you’re mainly trying to add space between the top and bottom of posts in the main column grid. This can be achieved with CSS like this:

    .type-tribe_events {
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    }

    You can use any margin size you’d like there, but this should help!
