    Hey Tony,

I’m not Geoff but saw your ticket and wanted to reply here.

I appreciate your candid feedback here and we actually totally agree that getting that information back into the columns is an important thing. We made a misstep here, for sure.

With all of the new ticket information, and the “Additional information” modules for tickets that we introduced, we’ve been struggling to figure out an ideal way to keep all of the many pieces of information about attendees organized and manageable in a simple table layout—it’s hard to get right!

But dropping the name/email from columns directly is not a good call and we’re working on a better way of handling this.

I know that this might not be very satisfying, because a fix for this might not arrive for two to three works, or for even longer…but I just wanted to make it clear that we agree with you about the necessity of that information; agree that we need to improve/fix this to undo our recent changes; and that we’re working on this actively. The bug ticket for this is a priority-one ticket, so we’re hustling!

I hope this information helps and would love to know any further thoughts you have in the meantime. Let me know!

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey Tom,

We unfortunately are not able to help with customizations or design help. Check out this page for more information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

That being said, can you share a link to where there are these thumbnails on your site? I will take a look and recommend some CSS to hide the thumbnails there. 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hey Simon,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We unfortunately cannot help with code customization here—check out this page for more information: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

However, I wanted to let you know that I took the time to put together a version of the custom attendees-list.php template that does, in fact, add the attendee name beneath the attendee image. 🙂

To see the version of the file that does this, check out this Gist → https://git.io/vVCML

Now, there is no styling of the names here, so to take this further and make it all look exactly how you want on your site and such, you will have to take the reins on that and on any further refinement of things.

But I hope this example version of the attendees-list.php template file helps!

    Cheers,
    George

Sorry to hear about this, Jeanine!

To help investigate, can you share three pieces of information with us? They’re as follows:

    1. Your “system information”; learn how to share that here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    2. A screenshot of the “edit event” screen that shows exactly how you’ve set up this recurring event. You can do so by uploading the screenshot to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look. To be clear, I mean the “Time & Date” section of your event-creation screen. Here’s an example screenshot of what I mean → https://cloudup.com/cuwE10rNFJT.

If you could share that same type of screenshot for your recurring event here, that would be very helpful.

    3. And finally, can you confirm if you have issues with other recurring events on your site? Or is this event the only problematic one?

    Thank you!

    Thanks for reaching out, @Anthony!

Can we get member info for each event from a bundle events purchase to export with the individual events?

Unfortunately, “bundle events purchase” isn’t even something our plugins provide on their own. So, no, our plugins will not provide a way to get the information you describe.

Can you elaborate a bit on how exactly you are pulling off “bundle event purchases”? Maybe even share screenshots of how you set up a bundle event purchase—I’m just curious about this, because maybe I’m missing some important details about your configuration and might be able to help. (You share screenshots by uploading them to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.)

Based on the information here thus far, though, no, our plugins do not provide a way to get the information you describe. 🙁

    Sorry to disappoint!

    Hey Tmize,

    Thank you for reaching out!

The Events Calendar does allow for a basic “Category archive” page, so that if you click on an Event Category, you are brought to a filtered version of the calendar views which only shows events in that specific category.

A good example of this is on our demo site here, for the “Tech Meetups” category → http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/

Now, you’ll notice that the calendar views are the same as they are if you weren’tfiltering by a specific category…but only events in the selected category are on these category archive pages. And yes, they are in date order.

I hope this is making sense, and is helpful—let me know!

If you have your own specific page template that you want specific categories to show up on, then unfortunately no, there is not a way to events in that specific category on that template unless you write custom code.

The Events Calendar is totally free, and these category-specific features are fully included in the free plugin, so the best bet here in my opinion would be to just download the plugin and set up on maybe a test site or a local development site or something—tinker around with it and see how it integrates with your goals. It might be exactly what you’re looking for!

    Cheers,
    George

    Hey Paul,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There is unfortunately no such existing page template code, and we cannot help write any custom code to make that happen. Check out this page for information on that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

One thing we do have that MIGHT help is the custom plugin available on this page → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/listing-venues-and-organizers/

If you add that to your site (it’s free), you get two new shortcodes:

    • [list_organizers]
    • [list_venues]

So, you might be able to drop [list_venues] into a “Venues” page on your site, and it should list all or most of the venues you’ve got.

This “free plugin” on that page is not officially supported, and it might need refinement to work and look exactly how you want it to on your site—you will have to take the reins on that sort of refinement, but I hope it helps even as just a starting point!

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey Todd,

Thanks for reaching out here, and for testing your theme to begin with.

The results of your testing are quite definitive, and so the best course of action here fundamentally is to reach out to the theme author for some theme-specific support.

In the meantime, I’ve nevertheless taken a closer look at the event at the link you posted here; interestingly, the map DOES seem to work fine as long as my JavaScript console is open.

Weird! And this fact is worth noting to your theme author when you reach out to them about this.

There are three things in the JavaScript console worth touching on:

    1. A “No ApiKeys” Google Maps console notice that arises from our plugins.

Now, this might sound like the kicker here and the main culprit. But though it’s the most clear message in the console, it’s ironically the least meaningful, and does not break maps. This is just a “notice”, not an error outright, and it slipped through due to a small oversight in our code; but it really does not break anything. We’re going to make sure this notice is hidden in a future update, but I just wanted to touch on this specific message. If you reach out to your theme author and they see this message and claim that it’s the culprit, it is not.

    2. A 403 Forbidden console error due to a failed TypeKit font URL.

    The full error is this:

    NetworkError: 403 Forbidden - https://use.typekit.net/c/76c3b6/1w;calluna,7cdcb44be4a7db8877ffa5c0007b8dd865b3bbc383831fe2ea177f62257a9191,b4n:W:n4,b4s:W:n7;lato,7cdcb44be4a7db8877ffa5c0007b8dd865b3bbc383831fe2ea177f62257a9191,c0r:W:n4,c0x:W:n7,c0z:W:n8/l?3bb2a6e53c9684ffdc9a9bfe1b5b2a6216bc43f667eade1f8c67b8d6c2ed0820584b9e4086d77d0e95589011830d7454d33e311c20186287f8f655f6f04838fe1af851d56d6dc043f4ea36607ca432269cfe079b21a08f77b6f1055b51eef0f9f79504eabcdaf38514c1c8e1c735b0666b357e28a30d6aa3b51ec7985fce19db604cc7a3c86b665a3365241a2e8a2f1595f85afde9062ba37e70f9568b2b99c87c6dcb2f1e93d6cdf3ca525a3cb2a656759168a07b

This is an outright error in the console, and I am not sure to what degree this is impacting maps. It may not be at all, but is worth investigating.

    3. An odd empty-string output from your theme’s assets/js/plugins-min.js file

When my console is open on page load, this file is echoing an emptying string into the console. Weird! This is not an error, but is not “normal” either and could hint at some of the theme-specific problems on your site.

I hope this information all helps! Best of luck with your theme-specific investigation here.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey Jennifer,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You can customize a few, specific colors with the Theme Customizer. To see a full list of the support colors there, check out this knowledgebase post → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-color-customizer/

For anything other than the specific few options in that list, though, you would have to write custom CSS on your site to make a customization, whether it’s just a color change or something else. We cannot help with writing custom CSS, so just to be clear, if you were to purchase a full license you would still have to write any CSS customizations on your own.

As for conflicts with WooCommerce, there are no known conflicts at this time. We make some add-ons that work explicitly with WooCommerce, in fact, so we strive to have no issues at all with it. And at present, there are no known issues.

    Cheers!
    George
