Good question. Unfortunately, there’s no way to make the full calendar your homepage right out of the box. It’s something we’re looking into, but haven’t quite gotten to it yet.

However, there is a third-party plugin called Event Rocket that will do that for you. We don’t support it here on the forums, but it might be worth checking out to get your events on the homepage–or any other page for that matter.

Good question. Yes, there are two ways you can modify the calendar’s CSS without touching core plugin files:

• Use your theme’s CSS. You can override the calendar’s styles by dropping the them directly into your theme’s style.css file.
• Use a separate stylesheet. You can also create a new folder in your theme’s directory called “tribe-events” and create a new file in there called tribe-events.css. Any styles you add there will override the calendar styles. There are more details on this method in our Themer’s Guide.

Gotcha, thanks! That sounds pretty interesting.

One idea might be to use the Organizers feature in The Events Calendar PRO. Each organizer can be a business rather than a person, and each one automatically gets its own page on your site right out of the box (e.g. [your-site]/organizer/[organizer-slug]). Organizer pages even include the events associated with them.

If you use that alongside a plugin like Advanced Custom Fields, you would have everything you need to publish information about the businesses in the directory. You’ll likely need to customize the Organizer page template (more on customizing templates in our Themer’s Guide), but it seems like a viable solution without needing other major software.

Other than that, I’m afraid I haven’t seen any solid examples of sites that match what you’re building. You may be able to find a dedicated plugin for creating a business directory, but then the hard part will be creating the integration between that and other plugins.

Hello Axel! Thanks for giving that a shot for me–I really appreciate it. 🙂

I’m pretty puzzled over the Page Not Found page title. I think the fact that it says “Page Not Found” is an indication of some conflict since there technically is a page, but it’s not being recognized.

We have a troubleshooting guide specifically for issues relate to 404 (Page Not Found) issue. Will you please try the steps outlined there? I’m hoping this helps shed some light on what’s happening.

If that doesn’t help, let me know and we’ll try a deeper form of troubleshooting.

Good question. The PRO version of the plugin adds a ton of filtering options to the Events List widget that let you toggle the display for practically every bit of meta information about an event. It also allows you to filter the display to specific categories and tags as well (including multiple filter selections). Here’s a screenshot of all the available options.

You can change this with some custom CSS. Try adding this to your theme’s style.css file:

.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-image {
float: left;
margin-right: 30px;
text-align: left;
}

You may need to fiddle with it a bit to get it exactly how you want, but that should get you pointed in the right direction. 🙂

Yes, the options I searched were specific to WooCommerce. We have ticketing add-ons for Easy Digital Delivery and WP Ecommerce as well, so it’s possible there are integration available for those as well.

Sorry I don’t have any specific recommendation for you, but I do think WooCommerce tends to have the biggest selection of available integrations, both from them and third party developers. That might be a good starting point for you.
