ParticipantHi Geoff,
sorry to bother you again, but I don’t understand where I’m mistaken..
http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agendaIf you can reach the site and select an event, the page that contain the event is almost empty, only the title and the image, but no description, google maps etc.
I’ve done a new folder and copied inside the files as here
But in the page after <!– Event content –> i just have an empty div:
<div class=”tribe-events-single-event-description tribe-events-content entry-content description”></div>Do you have any idea?
thanks a lotDecember 19, 2014 at 9:41 am #922956Geoff
MemberHi there, Axel! Nice to see you again, but sorry you’re hitting some more trouble.
I noticed that you’re using the same URL slug for both the calendar and single events.
For example, your calendar is here:
http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agenda…and your single event is here:
http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agenda/italian-innovation-day-2014Notice how both include “/agenda/” in the URL? That can cause conflicts, like the one you’re seeing.
Will you please trying heading to Events > Settings and changing the “Single event URL slug” field (screenshot) Β from “agenda” to something else, like “event” then saving your settings? Does that resolve the issue?
Give that a shot and let me know what you find. π
Cheers!

MemberI should also add that you may need to flush your permalinks after you have updated your URL slug. You can do this by going to Settings > Permalinks from the WordPress dashboard and simply hitting the “Save Changes” button.
Also, if you are using any caching plugins, you will want to clear those caches as well.
Sorry, I should have mentioned those in my first reply. π

ParticipantHi Geoff and thans.
I see your response only now, sorry.I thought that the Agenda was like the container and all events should be inside it, like a post belongs to a category.
I’ve tried your solution, but the single event page doesn’t change. there are still same problems: the page is truncated under the image and the little calendar on the left doesn’t works anymore.
My permalink custom structure is /%year%/%category%/%postname%.
Thanks

MemberHey there, Axel! Thanks for following up and sorry those steps didn’t solve the issue–I really thought that would do the trick.
Will you please head over to Events > Settings > Display and check with template is selected in the “Events template” option? Select “Default Events Template” and save your settings, if it isn’t already chosen. Do you notice any change?
If not, then will you please confirm which version of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO are installed? Are you running version 3.9 for both?
Let me know what you find before we move on to deeper troubleshooting. π
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
i’ve updated the event calendar plug-in before updating event calendar pro.now the system tell me this:
The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 3.8.1. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?
but the link for pairing the versions doesn’t works. this is the link: http://tri.be/version-relationships-in-modern-tribe-pluginsadd-ons/?utm_campaign=in-app&utm_medium=plugin-tec&utm_source=noticeI’ve also checked that the event template is the default events template, but now even the first page, agenda, is’t working. (if you click on a link on the little calendar on the left, nothing happens now)

Participanthi Geoff,
I’ve been able to update the event calendar pro.
now i have the calendar page http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agenda and single events http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/event/italian-innovation-day-2014everything seams to be ok, but in the calendar page (http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agenda) the title of the page is “Pagina non trovata” that is “Page not found” in italian.
it’s very strange since the installation of wordpress and everything is in english..we are getting to the point π
thanks a lotDecember 22, 2014 at 9:42 am #923805Geoff
MemberAwesome, it seems like we’re on the right track. At least we have a page to work with now. π
Do you have any caching or SEO plugins installed? If so, will you please try clearing the site’s cache, then flush the permalinks again? Any difference there?
For what it’s worth, I tried re-creating the same environment as yours, and was also getting the Page Not Found error (though in English), and was able to resolve it by flushing my permalinks again. I’m hoping the same happens for you as well, but it might be a little trickier with caching and SEO plugins in there. We’ll figure it out though. π
Give that a shot and let me know if it helps. Thanks for working with me on this!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
thanks for your help.I tried to flush permalinks.
then I deactivate my seo plugin (by yoast).
re-flushed permalinks.
then I update the seo plugin and then re-activate it after another reset to permalinks.i don’t have any cache plugin.
I think the page title is the only little problem and it’s only in the first page (http://www.thedigitalpost.eu/agenda).
I also noticed that with seo plugin activated the page title change from “Events for week of 12/22/2014 | Page not found | The Digital Post” to “Page not found | The Digital Post”…but “page not found” now is in english.
thanks again

MemberHello Axel! Thanks for giving that a shot for me–I really appreciate it. π
I’m pretty puzzled over the Page Not Found page title. I think the fact that it says “Page Not Found” is an indication of some conflict since there technically is a page, but it’s not being recognized.
We have a troubleshooting guide specifically for issues relate to 404 (Page Not Found) issue. Will you please try the steps outlined there? I’m hoping this helps shed some light on what’s happening.
If that doesn’t help, let me know and we’ll try a deeper form of troubleshooting.
Thanks again!
