MemberHi there, Torsten!
By default, /events will display the current month. If you’d like to skip straight to September’s month view, you could link to it directly instead of using /events. The URL should look something like [your-site]/events/2015-09/.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Afansa! Thanks for following up.
Hmm, that’s certainly strange. You should only need to create theΒ tribe-events directory once in the active theme. There are several template files calledΒ single-event.php — is it possible you didn’t snag the correct one?
A good way to tell if there’s a conflict is to activate the default WordPress Twenty Fourteen theme, then try your customizations from there. If it works, that tells us there is a conflict with the other theme. If it doesn’t work, then there’s something else going on.
Cheers!

MemberHi Van,
Ah, I see what you mean–thanks for the screenshot!
Are you using the “Default Events Template” under Events > Settings > Display? Or are you using another template from your theme? Please try selecting the Default Events Template if you aren’t already and saving your settings to see if there’s a difference.
If that’s not the case, then I think what we’re seeing is a theme conflict. In other words, it’s not The Events Calendar that’s adding that text but rather the theme. In those cases, it’s best if the theme author can help shed some light on the issue and provide a solution.
Cheers!

MemberHello Anthony–welcome to the forums! Sorry for the issue here, but let’s see if we can help figure out what happening together.
It seems you’ve already narrowed it down to a theme conflict. If the featured image functionality works in a default WordPress theme but not in the theme you are using, then that typically means that there is something in your theme that is preventing it from functioning properly.Β I would suggest connecting with the theme developer in this case to see if there are any processes blocking the featured image from functioning.
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you, but let’s start with this and hopefully the theme author can help shed some light on what’s happening.
Cheers!

MemberHowdy there, Van. Thanks for getting in touch.
It looks like that screenshot you tried sharing didn’t come through. However, I will go ahead and note that there is no “Contact Us” on pages in our plugin by default. If you are able to show where that is popping up, I’d be happy to take a look and let you know if that’s something we support.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Stefan! Thanks for following up and sorry the issue is still popping up here.
Do you notice any difference when deactivating other plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Fourteen? Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this tutorial and let me know.
