MemberAwesome, thanks Bali! I’m glad that things got sorted out there. ๐
Hi Earl! I’ll try to answer your questions right now and then close the thread since this is Bali’s thread and his issue has been resolved. If you still need assistance beyond this, it would be great if you opened a new thread and we’ll help you there. ๐
I learned only today that that the license key only works with WordPress.
Yes, The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO are both WordPress plugins. Once you install and activate them, you should be able to go to Events> Settings > Licenses and enter your License Key for the PRO version. Here isย a more detailed tutorial on how to find and input your license key.
When I tried to use that theme, WordPress wouldnโt allow the theme to be uploaded. How do I solve this problem?
This sounds like more of an issue with your theme than it is with The Events Calendar. I’d suggest reaching out to the theme author for more guidance on how to properly install and activate the theme.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, fede! Thanks for getting in touch. ๐
Good questions. First off, only the support you receive and the ability to update the plugin is affected by the one-year license. In other words, the plugin will still continue to function even you choose not to renew your license at the end of one year.
We try to keep the plugin compatible with as many languages as possible, but rely on the community to help us make that happen. That said, the Spanish translation files are pretty solid, but there may be a spot here and there that need to be updated. In those cases, you can updated the translation files yourself, or reach out to the Translations community for assistance.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know and thanks again for checking out the plugin. ๐

MemberHello there, Helen! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. I hope you’re enjoying the WooTickets plugin so far. ๐
Good question. You can useย tribe_get_events_title() to display the event title andย tribe_events_get_the_excerpt() to output the event’s preview text in the email. So, for example, you can add the title in the template using:
<?php echo tribe_get_events_title() ?>I hope this helps point you in the right direction. ๐

MemberHey there, Nick! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying the PRO plugin so far. ๐
Good question. I do want to point out that we are fairly limited in how much we can support custom development questions like this one. That said, I’m happy to try to point you in the right direction if I can.
I wonder if working with meta_query would be the better route here. For example, here’s a post where someone was able to modify the query using <i>EventStartDate</i> as a parameter to limit results to current events, plus ones one week into the future. The post is a little dated, but I think it still offers a good starting point for what you’re looking for.
We do have a function that allows you to distinguish between one instance of a recurring series and all instances calledย tribe_recurring_instances_toggle(). You could add a condition to your query that specifies that the toggle is set to respect your settings in Events > Settings > General that only one instance is displayed.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

MemberHi there, Ken! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. We hope you’re enjoying the plugin so far. ๐
That’s an interesting and neat idea I haven’t come across before! Unfortunately, having a sort of dynamic link in the menu that changes with the availability of upcoming events isn’t something that is supported right out of the box.
If that’s something you’d like us to consider looking into, I’d suggest heading over to our UserVoice page, which is where we take new feature requests.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHello there,ย Kjell! Thanks for getting in touch.
The free version of the plugin is a good reflection of how publishing events works, even with the PRO add-on installed. The PRO version is an extension of the free version that provides additional functionality, such as recurring events. In other words, the PRO version does not change the way events are published and what you are currently seeing in the free version is what you would see when installing PRO as well.
Does this help clarify things a bit and answer your question? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Dave! Thanks for getting in touch and great questions.
First off, the volume of events. We do take the issue of performance very seriously and believe our plugin is very performant and able to handle some pretty intense work loads as quickly as possible. That said, I think there will always be some sort of cost when dealing with a huge number of events in the range you are targeting. I think the best way to ensure that the plugin performs to your expectations in this case would to use the free version and test from there. The free version is the core for all the other add-ons, so if it can handle the load, then everything else will follow suit.
In regards to the display of a day with many events–you can actually set how many events you would like to display. Anything above that number will display a “See All Events” link that will target the full list of events for that particular day.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐

MemberHey there! Thanks for getting in touch and for checking out the plugin. ๐
Good question. While multiple calendars are not a supported feature right out of the box, you can certainly use Categories on your events. Categories get their own unique URL, which you could link to directly. For example: [your-site]/events/category/work.
That would essentially give you the same effect as having multiple calendars. ๐

MemberHello there, Len! Thanks for getting in touch.
Good question. There is currently no way to embed the full calendar right out of the box, though you might consider using the Event Rocket plugin (not supported by us here in the forums). It provides shortcodes that allow you to embed calendar views in pages and posts.
Will that work for you? Please let me know. ๐
Cheers!
