    Hi Iwan,

I unfortunately do not have a date for the next Community Events release. We do run a fairly aggressive development schedule, so it’s possible we could see one in the next month or so, but I’d hate to give you a date (or an estimate for that matter) and be wrong.

Did the patch help resolve the issue? Please let me know. 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi Kyle,

Ah, there’s the difference! I was testing with an existing organizer and you were testing with a new one in the submission process.

I do see the issue as well. I’ve created a ticket in our system and will definitely keep you posted as we learn more.

    Thanks for reporting this!

Hello Peter, thanks for getting in touch!

First off, thanks for checking out the plugins! I’m stoked and hope they’re a good fit for your project. 🙂

Do we have to buy them separately at $89/year each, or is there a bundled licence (and price) that includes all 3?

Each license is indeed a separate purchase. We unfortunately do not offer a bundled price. I will note, however, that we sometimes offer discounts and promotions via Twitter and our email newsletter. I’m not making any promises, but we are close to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. 🙂

For a one-off import of ical events, do we need to purchase the ical importer plugin?

That’s correct, yes. The iCal import feature is only available in the iCal Import plugin, so a license would be required to use it.

Is there a simple way to to do a bulk import of events from a csv file? If so, are there are any guidelines on the format that this would need to be in?

Absolutely! In fact, we have a couple of guides that I think you’ll find very helpful for getting that started.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know!

    Hi Rudy,

Thanks a bunch for writing in!

Sorry, I’m not quite following your question–will you please elaborate on it for me? I’m having a tough time telling if you are looking for a theme recommendation that has the layout you’re describing, or if you are looking to customize the Photo View layout. Or perhaps you’re asking for something different altogether. 🙂

Either way, please let me know and I’d be happy to answer your questions as best I can.

    Cheers!

Hi Mike and thanks for getting in touch!

Good question, but I’m afraid it is not currently possible to display a multi-day event as a single solid bar across the multiple days like iCal. This has been suggested in our feature request forum, but needs more votes–so please add yours if you haven’t already!

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Scott,

Are you following the same steps I am when the issue pops up? I want to make sure I’m troubleshooting the same thing you are, especially if we are getting different results.

If you are following the same steps and still seeing the issue, then will you please following the steps outlined in this guide? It will help us testing whether there is a conflict with the theme or perhaps another installed plugin.

If you are following different steps, will you please outline them here for me so I can try to recreate the issue on my end?

I do notice in the screenshots that Organizers are called Teachers on the front end and Organizers on the back end. Not sure if that’s a clue, but let’s start with the the above steps and go from there. 🙂

Also she gets two emails every time a class is submitted

Is it the same email or one for the submissions and another when the event has been edited? Either way, please do open another thread on this so we can focus on the primary question.

    Thanks!

That’s a good start, thanks Lisa!

Now let’s try reactivating your theme and other plugins, then creating another new recurring event and see if we still see the same issue.

That will tell us one of two things:

    • There is a plugin/theme conflict that is interfering with event post links
    • There was an initial issue that reverting themes cleared up and existing recurring events need to be recreated

    Thanks!

    Hi John,

That’s a great question! It;s actually not a feature at the moment, but I do see it in our feature request forum. It would be awesome if you added your votes there so we can see more demand for it–I can see how that could be pretty handy.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Hi Kyle and welcome back to the forums!

That’s really strange. I just tested this myself with the following:

    • Set Community Events submissions to Draft status when submitted
    • Create a new event as an anonymous (non-logged in) user
    • Select an existing Organizer in the event options
    • Submit the events
    • Check the event in the admin dashboard

I was able to see the organizer in the back-end dashboard (screenshot) as well as the editor (screenshot). Do you happen to notice something different when you follow the same steps, or are you using a different set of steps I can try as well? Let me know and we can keep digging from there. 🙂

    Thanks!

Thanks Lisa! Will you please try using pretty permalinks (the Post Name option) in those settings?

And, when you do, please try creating a new recurring event from scratch and send me the link to it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Iwan,

Sorry for the continued trouble here! I do see that error as well.

The good news is that we have a temporary fix. Please try installing this plugin for the time being and let me know if if helps do the trick.

    Thanks!

    Hi Chris,

Are you importing events/attendees from another calendar plugin or from one site using The Events Calendar to another?

If you’re migrating data from one site to another and both use the plugin, then I would suggest exporting the database from first site over to the next.

If you’re migrating data from another system altogether, then it may not be possible to move that data cleanly without some more advanced database work. In this case, it depends on how the other system handles attendees and then mapping them to The Events Calendar’s attendees.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
