MemberHi Brent,
Oh shoot, I see exactly what you mean!
I’ve created a ticket for us to look into this further and patch it up and will set this thread to Pending Fix in the meantime to keep you posted as we learn more.
For now, one workaround would be to hide one of those instances with CSS, either in your theme’s style.css file or using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS. For example:
tribe_community_edit .tribe-events-before-html { display: none !important; }Sorry again for the trouble and I’ll keep you posted.

MemberSorry about that, Hans!
I don’t have a fix at the moment, but I have added a ticket or us to look into so we can patch this up in an upcoming release. I’ll be sure to follow up with you when I have more to share and set this thread to Pending Fix in the meantime.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey there!
I went ahead and built this into a plugin for you to download. Feel free to install this like you would any other plugin, activate, then let me know if it works from there.
Cheers!

MemberHi Brendan,
Sure, that’s totally possible with template overrides. Here are the templates you will want:
- List View: the-events-calendar/src/views/list/single-event.php
- Photo View: events-pro/src/views/pro/photo/single-event/php
Add the HTML where you would like the box to display, then use CSS (either in your theme styles or using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS) to style it.
Does that help a little better?
Cheers!

MemberHi Rudy,
Do you mean that the Facebook import option is not available at all? Do you see it if you head to Events > Import > Facebook (screenshot)?
Thanks!
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Chris,
You are indeed correct. While we did a lot of work to integrate WPML into The Events Calendar, we have yet to fully integrate it into Events Calendar PRO and our other premium plugins.
If you could add your vote to the feature request for extending the integration to recurring events, I’d really appreciate it.
In the meantime, sorry for the trouble and that I don;t have a concrete answer for you on how to make it compatible. I hope this does at least shed some light on the question, though.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Tom and welcome to the forums!
Ah yes, we’ve seen this come up in the past. Try adding the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php file and see if it does the trick:

Does that work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Rudi,
Happy to help here — in the future, will you please open a new thread for unrelated questions? It helps keep the conversation on track and easier to follow. 🙂
It looks like a gateway timeout occurred. In most cases, that is either a server or hosting issue because one or the other needs to allocate more memory to PHP to facilitate the request. I would suggest trying to increase that memory (more on this in the WordPress Codex) and, if that fails, request that your host increase the memory on that end.
Let’s try that route as a first and second course of action and continue troubleshooting from there if we continue to see an issue.
Thanks!

MemberHey Hans!
It looks like the HTML formatting is coming through in the excerpts — here’s a screenshot of one in List View and another one in Photo View.
If there are strange instances of capped words, is it possible they are coming in from the language files?

MemberOh geez, that’s no good! Let’s definitely see how a fresh install behaves and troubleshoot from there — I’m curious what could be causing a blank screen.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for your patience and cooperation while we work on this together!

MemberHey Vlad, thanks for following up!
Does your theme have a different set of widget areas registered than Twenty Thirteen? You may need to add the widget to the sidebars specifically registered to the custom theme in order for them to display.
That said, we certainly do have a shortcode for the mini calendar and you can add it to any page or post that way.
Cheers!
GeoffGeoff
MemberAwesome, thanks Dan!
Oh yeah, the Avada team is great and they have done a great job integrating The Events Calendar to the theme. We do our best to make sure theme developers have access to our releases before they come out so they can be tested in advance — if you’re seeing issues like this one, it might be worth letting them know in their forums just to bridge any potential gap. 🙂
Cheers and thanks again for reaching out!
