MemberAbsolutely! That image function is a wrapper for the default WordPress wp_get_the_post_thumbmnail() function so you can remove it altogether and use something like <i>wp_get_attachment_image_src()</i> instead, then use that to build out the markup for your image.

MemberHey Tom,
That HTML is interesting because it doesn’t seem to be code that comes with The Events Calendar. By chance, have you added any HTML to your titles in the editor, or added HTML to the templates?
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Luke,
Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums! Hope you’ve been loving PRO so far. 🙂
Good question. While The Events Calendar does not include a sidebar by default, there is a setting under Events > Settings > Display (screenshot) that allows to use a theme page template instead of the default page template.
Have you tried switching to one of your theme templates? If so, does that do the trick?
The other option would be to do a template override, but changing the setting would be a quicker check before we head down that route.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Derek,
First off, thanks for reaching out. I hear the frustration in this post and can understand feeling frustrated myself having made an investment in something that isn’t working as I’d expect it to.
And, frankly, we share some of that frustration as well. We work hard to create and maintain a product we are very proud of and set a high bar for being able to support it. It doesn’t sit well with us if The Events Calendar is used in ways it isn’t intended or is used in a way that reflects poorly on us here at Modern Tribe.
That said, we also know there is always that sort of risk with open-source software. The Events Calendar itself is totally open and available to anyone free of charge–in other words, we give the code away in the same spirit that WordPress gives its code away and makes itself susceptible to the same scenario. For example, that same theme is using the WordPress name as a way to earn customers.
This totally isn’t trying to negate your concerns. Rather, just trying to add context to the complexity of the WordPress environment as a whole.
If you do have Events Calendar PRO or one of our other premium licenses, I would encourage you to open a thread or two in our Events Calendar PRO forum outlining the issues in more detail so we can help look into them with you. As you can imagine, we can’t guarantee that we can solve all issues that are directly related to custom development or theme conflicts, but we are always happy to give it our best go and–at the very least–find the right direction to go in order to figure it out.
I really appreciate you taking the time to not only bring the situation to our attention, but letting us know how it affects you as well. Please do let me know you have any other follow-up questions or thoughts here and I’d be happy to help as best I can.
Sincerely,
GeoffGeoff
MemberAh, that’s the key!
There is indeed an issue with Photo view on desktop and mobile Safari that we are working on and plan to release shortly in 4.0.3. I’ll follow up with you when that releases, but please do keep your eyes open.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for following up!

MemberHi Robert,
Thanks for getting in touch! We are indeed working on bundles for our products and hope to get that rolling soon. Like you said, it’s been a longtime-a-coming and–now that we’ve rolled out the big 4.0 release–we can start to turn our focus to many such outstanding tasks.
Events Calendar PRO and Tickets Plus is an excellent idea for a bundle.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey there, Chris!
I was just checking out the site — did you happen to resolve the issue? I visited on an iPad and the events seemed to be displayed (screenshot).
Or perhaps I’m missing something else and you can point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

MemberHi John,
I’m afraid there are no push notifications included in the calendar outside of a RSS feed that can be used to send updated info. That would be the closest thing at the moment.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to help. 🙂

MemberHi Chris,
Events Calendar PRO and Filter Bar are separate plugins and both need to be purchased in order to enable their features.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHi Glenn,
Absolutely! We have the Community Events plugin available which, when used with The Events Calendar, creates a submission form on your site that visitors can use to submit events for you to review and publish to your calendar.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberSure thing! I’ll leave this thread open for now in case you have any follow-up questions about the CSS of the button I might be able to help with.
Cheers!

MemberHey Nick,
Nice to see you again–hope all is well!
That solution still seems to do the trick for me when I tested it out. Perhaps try copying the updated single-event.php file from the plugin files to your theme and re-apply the change from there? Doing so gives me this result: https://cloudup.com/cHKHVI1E_ru
Cheers!
