    Hi Tammy,

Thanks for following up and for the screenshot!

The problem here is that Events Calendar PRO does not appear to be installed. Based on the screenshot and the system information you have provided (thanks for those!), you only have The Events Calendar installed. That’s great but you also need Events Calendar PRO installed so you can enter the license key you have purchased on the Events > Settings > Licenses screen.

Do you know where to download Events Calendar PRO? And, if so, are you able to install and activate it from within WordPress?

Once you do, that will display the license key field for you.

I would be happy to refund your purchase for you if you think that is the best direction to go. At the same time, I believe this will all be resolved by installing the plugin you purchased.

    Thanks!
    Geoff

    Hi Marco,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Good question. While there is no built-in option to force a minimum number of tickets to be selected for an event, there is a snippet you could add to your functions.php file to do that. Please refer to this thread for the details.

Once the number has been selected, Event Tickets Plus will ask the user to provide the registration details for each ticket just the way you are looking for.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Jose,

Thanks for getting in touch! I’m really excited to hear you’re looking into our plugins and I hope they’re a great fit for your project. 🙂

I took a look at the links you provided and I think you will get a lot of what you’re looking for with our free WordPress plugin, The Events Calendar:

    The Events Calendar

That will give you the calendar and the ability to publish and manage events to the calendar.

You mentioned liking the ability to manage event speakers. If you add Events Calendar PRO to your site, then that will provide you with pages for event “organizers”. We use the word “organizers” right out of the box, but you can customize that to “speakers” using this free extension we provide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/the-events-calendar-extension-relabeler/

Events Calendar PRO also includes features for recurring events, additional views, shortcodes and other things you might find handy.

You also mentioned filters. For that, I would recommend our Filter Bar add-on, which adds a bar to your site that allows your visitors to filter events by a number of variables, like category, organizer, venue, time of day, distance and other options.

In short, I think you will be pretty well covered by our plugins. Let me know if there are other requirements you are looking for and I would be happy to let you know if our plugins can handle them. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Yael,

Oh yeah, you are totally fine with the Personal License. I can see how that name can be confusing, but you are good to go as long as you only need the license registered to a single site.

Speaking of nonprofits, definitely check out our Nonprofit Program. If you apply and are accepted into the program, we’d be happy to grant you a license for Events Calendar PRO. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hey Pim,

Try adding this to either your style.css file or on the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen:

    .template-event-page {
    margin-top: 50px !important; /* or whatever value you'd like */
    }

That seemed to do the trick when I tested it on your site (screenshot). Hopefully it works for you as well!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

You bet and so glad that helps!

Let me know if the developer comes back with any questions about using the same license for both sites and I would be happy to help as best I can. If questions come up about the permalinks or any other issue, please feel free to open a new thread and we can tackle that there. 🙂

    Thanks so much!

Thanks for the system information, Tammy! This is exactly what I needed. 🙂

It does not look like Events Calendar PRO is installed on your site. Will you please download the plugin and install it? You can download it it by logging into our site and navigating to My Account > Downloads.

Then, you can follow these instructions to install the plugin:

    Installing a WordPress Plugin

Please give that a try and let me know if you run into any trouble along the way.

    Thanks!

You bet, John! Happy to help, even though I know it’s not the answer you were hoping for.

We’re always open to new ideas! In fact, we have a feature request forum where you can post the idea. Any details you can provide when posting the idea, even mockups, to illustrate the point would be really appreciated and help us have a clear idea of what you’re looking for.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

Cheers and have a great day!

    Hey there!

I was looking into your account and only see one purchase for Events Calendar PRO that was made on Feb. 08.

Did you intend to purchase Events Calendar PRO or did you want Event Aggregator instead? I’d be happy to exchange the license for you if that’s the case — just let me know!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hey John,

Interesting question! I’m afraid, though, that Community Events only offers the single form for submitting events and splitting it into two versions is not a possible option.

I was trying to think of a way to conditionally select a category in the form so you could accomplish that in the current form, but could not come up with what those conditions would be.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution for you here, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Kristina,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

We’d be happy to help — but I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins. If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our <u>WordPress.org support forum</u>.

I will say that you can link directly to your event category pages in The Events Calendar. For example, if you have a category called Movies, then you can link to it at: [your-site]/events/category/movies.

If you’re looking for a way to allow your visitors to filter events by category directly on the calendar, then I would suggest using our Filter Bar add-on, which adds options for visitors to filter events by a number of options, including category.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff
