MemberSure thing, Michael!
I gone ahead and deactivated your Events Calendar PRO agency license and replaced it with a fresh agency license for Community Events. You can get the new license key by logging into this site and heading to My Account > License Keys. That will also provide you access to download the plugin.
Let me know if that does the trick!

MemberHi Rafael,
Just chiming in here while Geoff B. is out of the office.
There is a setting where you can add an additional space to the currency. Head over to Events > Settings, scroll down to the “Default currency symbol” setting (screenshot) and add a space after the symbol — that will separate the price from the symbol (screenshot).
Will that work for you? Please let us know. 🙂

MemberHi Ryan,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, you can override any calendar template file by adding it to your theme and making modifications from there, like adding a sidebar widget into the template. Our Themer’s Guide has a thorough overview of how template overrides work.
That said, we are actually working on shortcodes right now that will enable you to embed full calendar views on any page or post. That’s been a huge feature to build, but we’re getting ready to release it in our next major version, 4.3, which should be out in the next month or two. 🙂
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Daniel and thanks so much for getting in touch!
Great questions. Let’s tackle them one at a time.
1. I just bought Event Plus ticket. Is it necessary to have installed The Event Calendar Plus or The Event Calendar (NOT PLUS) worth ?.
You can use Event Tickets Plus with or without The Events Calendar. If you do not use Event Tickets Plus with The Events Calendar, then you can create tickets on your WordPress pages and posts instead of events.
2. When installing Event Ticket Plus tells me this: “To begin using Event Tickets Plus, Please install and activate the latest version of Event Tickets and Ensure Its Own Have Been requirements met.”
Event Tickets Plus does indeed require that Event Tickets is also installed and active on your site. It’s a free plugin, so please download and install it and that should prevent that message from appearing.
3. I tried to activate my license Plus Event Ticket, but does not give me any option to enter my license in my wordpress.
This should be fixed when you install Event Tickets from the previous question. A license field will be available under Events > Settings > Licenses.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

GeoffAugust 24, 2016 at 8:25 am in reply to: Difference between iCal Importer and Event Aggregator #1155349Geoff
MemberHi Martin,
Great questions! We’re really excited about Event Aggregator. It’s not only going to be a huge upgrade to iCal Importer, but a plugin that eventually replaces it altogether.
The primary difference is that Event Aggregator runs server side on our servers. That means the burden of running scheduled tasks and imports will hit our servers instead of yours, creating a more performant experience.
Secondly, Event Aggregator will allow you to import from multiple sources. iCal Importer only imports from sources with an active iCal feed whereas Event Aggregator will import from other sources as well, including Facebook, Meetup, and a few others.
Lastly, the UI for Event Aggregator is a major update from iCal Importer. It will be much easier to create and manage your scheduled imports, including a way to view and manage your history of imports. I saw a demo of it the other day and it’s pretty slick.
It sounds like iCal Importer will still do the trick for you, as long as the sources you are importing from have a valid iCal URL to import from. Otherwise, I think holding off for Event Aggregator is a solid idea and, in fact, you can sign up for the beta release of it here if you’d to give it a spin before it’s official release: https://theeventscalendar.com/wordpress-event-aggregator/
We’re still in the process of sorting out pricing and I can’t offer specific details or promises, but I imagine we will be looking into a subscription model that allows you to import a certain number of events per period at a flat rate.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers!
GeoffAugust 24, 2016 at 8:14 am in reply to: Starting events calendar on a different month than the current month? #1155345Geoff
MemberHi Lindsay, hope you’re having a great day!
That is an excellent question and I’m afraid that the calendar’s Month View will always default to the current month, even if no events are upcoming in that month.
What you could do is manually link to the month with upcoming events. For example, if the first month of events is December 2016, then you could link to [your-site]/events/2016-12/.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

MemberHi Karen,
Thanks so much for getting in touch!
Yes, the plugin will automatically set up one instance of the calendar for you at [your-site]/events.
From there, you can add the Mini Calendar widget that comes with Events Calendar PRO to embed a smaller version of the calendar on any page or post, including the homepage.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Shawn and welcome to the forums!
Good question. If you are trying to remove the cost label from all events, then you can add something like this to your theme’s style.css file or by using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:
.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-schedule .tribe-events-cost { display: none; }Will this work for you? Please let me know.
Thanks,

MemberHi Jay,
Yes, you could override the event template file and move the comments where you would like them to be displayed.
We have more information on templates overrides in our Themer’s Guide, but it basically boils down to this:
- Make a copy of the single-event.php file. It is located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/single-event.php.
- Make a new folder in your theme (or child theme) called tribe-events
- Drop the copied single-event.php file in that folder
Now that the template is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs. 🙂
I hope this helps get you started! I think we’re starting to move away from pre-sales into technical support, but if you have any other pre-sales questions, then I would be happy to answer them for you.
Thanks,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Will,
Shoot, so sorry that won’t do the trick. I was really hoping it would.
I’m afraid that the CSV Importer is currently unable to import specific ticket orders along with the tickets themselves. The reason being that Event Tickets Plus actually delegates orders and the order management process to the ecommerce plugin being used with it. So, for example, if you are using WooCommerce as the ecommerce plugin, then it would contain all the unique order IDs and such that can be tied back to a specific ticket type.
There is a CSV importer for WooCommerce. Again, not sure if that is the plugin you are using for ecommerce, but that might be a good first place to start for getting the order information for tickets imported.

GeoffAugust 24, 2016 at 7:26 am in reply to: Exclude Venues and Organizers from WordPress Search #1155310Geoff
Memberinitially when the CPT is declared and not through other means. This works for other CPTs I have control over.
Yeah, that’s what I was hoping to accomplish with the filter from my first reply. I gave that a shot on my test site and it seems to do the trick.
Another way to go about it would be to write a filter for search itself, like this:
function exclude_from_search($query) { if ($query->is_search) { $query->set('post_type', 'post'); } return $query; } add_filter('pre_get_posts','exclude_from_search');That will return only default WordPress posts in search.
Does that work for you as well?
Thanks!
