October 8, 2018 at 10:22 am in reply to: display pending events on front end "My Events" page? #1639601CourtneyMember
Hey Brandon
I have attached this thread along with your other similar issue while using ElasticEvents to a bug ticket. Our developers will respond as soon as a solution is available.
Thanks
Courtney πCourtneyMemberHey Steven
The way that is displayed is a bit unexpected. On WP Shindig Demo Site https://wpshindig.com/events/ you can see what we would expect for the title area. This would likely relate to your theme’s settings.
Here are 2 options:
1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/altering-or-removing-titles-on-calendar-views/ You can change the title completely with a bit of coding on your end.
2. You could try to add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance Β» Customize Β» Additional CSS, but the > before Public Events would still display.
.tribe-events-page-title a { display:none; }
Let me know how your efforts go.
Thanks
Courtney πCourtneyMemberHey Fran
Can you share a link to see the widget displayed?
All shortcodes on https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/ will display as a widget-like layout, even if inserted into a wider area. That would include [tribe_events_list]
Full view shortcodes can be found on https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/.
Can you also see that on your staging site, if you’ve added and activated your license key at Events Β» Settings Β» Licenses?
Thanks

CourtneyMemberHi Steven
Can you tell me what you would like to have happen differently with the names of the days?
When you click on an event, the details will display below the calendar. https://cloudup.com/cUHHDob52a3 Is this what you were referring to?
Thanks

MySQL errors have a lot to do with the hosting. I’m so sorry to say, I really don’t have much that I can help you with further on this.
https://subinsb.com/fix-wordpress-error-mysql-server-has-gone-away/ might shed some light.
Thanks
Courtney πCourtneyMemberHey Luke
You’re in luck, my teammate has already created a snippet that should solve that for you. Add this snippet to either your child themeβs functions.php file or use the My Custom Functions plugin (without the PHP tag at the top):
https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/a63180206b4ebb3a1f30511228816652
Also I noticed on your sidebar for upcoming events that the font wrapped a bit funny for names of days in the week.
Can you add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance Β» Customize Β» Additional CSS?
.tribe-mini-calendar-event .list-date .list-dayname { font-size:.5rem; }
Let me know if these help you get things tweaked.
Thanks
Courtney πCourtneyMemberHey there Steven
So sorry for the delayed response.
I visited your site again and it appears as though you’ve changed the theme. https://cloudup.com/c41qtt2MSrs
Are the days of the week spaced out as you’d like now?
Thanks

CourtneyMemberHey there
That’s a great question. I’ll ask our team to see why this was closed (vs declined, etc).

CourtneyMemberHi Steven
https://cloudup.com/cwJOD5m_pHj is an example of what I see. This would be expected on a mobile device with a screen size under 1024 px wide (a tablet in landscape mode would show what a desktop sees). The view I am seeing is designed for phones. When you click on a date that has a dot on it, the details of the event display below.
Are you seeing this on screen sizes above 1024px wide?
Thanks
Courtney πCourtneyMemberHey James
We definitely will update you when we’ve taken additional steps on this. However, Google is still seeing all the Events data needed via JSON-LD.
See https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mykidstime.com%2Fevent%2Fhalloween-childrens-workshops-at-national-print-museum%2F2018-10-30%2F as an example. Google is recognizing this as an event, and the warnings are areas that may not make sense to include fo rmost situations.
Thanks
