Cost does not appear as an editable field when creating an event, so all of my events are coming up as FREE by default.
How do I change this???

Can you please provide us with your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ to better diagnose the problem?
I have a hunch that you also have Event Tickets installed. If so, the cost field may seem hidden. It wouldn’t be hidden just with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro.
https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/show-cost-field/ could be a good solution for you. Test it out and let me know if it works for you.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I have checked the share system info box in
the help menu, so hopefully you can see this now.I have installed the Cost Field Extension and the field is now visible.
However, when I enter a cost for the event, it is now showing the text
“Free” before the price (view image via the below Google Drive link).
https://drive.google.com/open?id=18N8ODl2RQHehE_gvfvnZCQ8IRv8zrJ4hIs there a way to remove the text “Free” from before the event cost?
Thanks,
Luke

You’re in luck, my teammate has already created a snippet that should solve that for you. Add this snippet to either your child theme’s functions.php file or use the My Custom Functions plugin (without the PHP tag at the top):
https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/a63180206b4ebb3a1f30511228816652
Also I noticed on your sidebar for upcoming events that the font wrapped a bit funny for names of days in the week.
Can you add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS?
.tribe-mini-calendar-event .list-date .list-dayname { font-size:.5rem; }
Let me know if these help you get things tweaked.
Thanks
