MemberThanks Luke. Figuring out how to retrieve the colours assigned to each category is not really in our wheelhouse. It is something you’d need to figure out or with the help of TEC Category Colors author.
I hope you find something that works well for your visitors.

MemberHi Mary Kay
Your information here shows Events Calendar Pro at 4.2, but we are currently at 4.4.7. https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-week-1st-may-2017/.
Would anything be limiting your ability to see available updates?
You could manually run the update by uninstalling Events Calendar Pro. Then go to My Account » Downloadss and My Account » Licenses to download, upload, and activate it again.
If that isn’t the solution, please send a private reply with your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks

MemberHi Mary Kay
It looks like this is coming from your plugin being out of date. Can you go to Dashboard » Update and run an update for Events Calendar Pro.
Let me know if this solves it.
Thanks

Also, does the same thing happen when disabling all other plugins and using a default theme, such as Twenty Seventeen? See our Testing for Conflicts https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ guide for more help on that.
Thanks

MemberHello Marc
The Eventbrite Tickets plugin is a separate purchase from Event Aggregator, and does not require any other plugins besides the free “The Events Calendar” plugin to use. https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/. We are able to refund Event Aggregator and swap it for
Was there any additional support that you needed? I don’t see any other support requests on your account at this time.
What was the conflict with integrating into your website? I’d like to help resolve that for you.
If you are still unsatisfied, you can request a refund by
submitting a refund request form at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/.Thanks

MemberHello Greg
Unfortunately category switching is reserved for use in the Filter Bar https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/.
You could add an All Events link by doing a custom override.
Add this snippet to either your child theme’s functions.php file or use the My Custom Functions plugin:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/80fb5e16c0d6c747a299c21b734fd299
For additional details on custom overrides, see our Themer’s Guide.
Let me know if that works for you Greg.
Thanks

MemberHello Andreas
Does the same thing happen with all other plugins turned off and using a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Seventeen? ( Testing for Conflicts https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ ).
Test how your /events page looks when you change these settings: Events » Settings » Display »
Default stylesheet used for events templates.
That might also help fix the issue.
I hope we can get this fixed up quickly for you.
Thanks

MemberHi Jacob
Our plugin uses JSON-LD to send the events markup to Google’s search. You can see an example search of a site that has events appearing in : https://www.google.com/search?q=smithsonian+national+museum+of+african+art+events or even omit “events” in the search here to see how Google finds the events anyway.
You can expedite the process possibly by asking Google to crawl your site again https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en.
Ultimately, Google will do whatever it wants. I’ve had some personal success by additionally using and configuring each event with https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/. JSON-LD and Schema are both ways to pass the markups on to Google.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

MemberHello Francesca
To modify how dates and times display on your site, there are 2 places to check.
1. Settings » General. You can see at https://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time the way that WordPress handles day of the week, month, year, etc. This is also where to set a default to 24hr time.
2. Events » Settings » Display » Date Format Settings. Again, see the earlier WordPress link for the formatting.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/ is not a plugin our company maintains, as it is made by a 3rd party developer. You can reach out for support from them at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-shortcode.
For additional help with styling, see some of these tips:
- Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
- Typically, don’t change the theme or plugin’s css files, they will be overwritten on updates. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
- Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
- Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
- Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.
Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know how this goes.
Thanks

MemberHi Luke
https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/ is maintained by a 3rd party, and not officially part of our company. However, it is a very useful plugin, and one of our staff members maintains it independently. You can submit a support request to them at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-category-colors.
We do offer a few ways to display the calendar filtered by the categories.
1. You can use a shortcode on any post/page like [tribe_events view=”list” category=”barbecue”]. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/.
2. You can use a link to take people to see events within a category, such as http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/.
3. It might be way more than you need at this time, but the Filter Bar https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/ can allow users to switch between category views as well.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks
