Filter Bar Extra?

I just bought the Pro Calendar for $89. Is the filter bar really an extra $89? Seems like a basic feature that should be included with Pro, or at least very expensive for an add-on. Costs as much as the original product?

Hi Marguerite

Yes, they are separate products. We do include a standard search bar with Events Calendar Pro. You can see both options in place at http://wpshindig.com/events/. The top bar is the standard search, and the bottom bar is the Filter Bar.

Often the Filter Bar is best for those with a very large volume of events on their website.

Thanks Marguerite. I find most sites using it are usually offsetting the cost with the sales from events.

I’m trying to switch over from Timely All in One Calendar. They have the capability to sort on category built in. Just looking for that level of sort.

That is a way of displaying the whole calendar of just a specific category. It doesn’t really let the user flip between categories, but might be useful to input on a page dedicated to that category.
