MemberHi Johnny
The import options should be greyed out. They are part of our Event Aggregator plugin, and require an annual subscription to work. Check out EA if you are wanting to import events.
Thanks

MemberHi Tomas
We do! You can check it out at Community Events https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/ and on our demo site at https://wpshindig.com/events/community/add (click the register link)
You’ll need our free The Events Calendar plugin installed before adding in Community Events.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

MemberHi Natalia
In order to use our REST API, you’ll first need to install The Events Calendar on a WordPress website. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/introduction-events-calendar-rest-api/ is our guide for implementation.
http://m.tri.be/19qc might be an alternative. We’re set to launch a calendar tool that will be hosted with us as a service and embedded into any content management system (Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Drupal, Joomla, etc.). That launch should happen within just a few months.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

MemberHi Brandon
Thanks so much for getting in touch! You can check https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/ to see if that might be the issue.

MemberI can’t say for certain. As it’s the weekend, he won’t be back “in office” until the start of the week to check in.
Thanks

MemberI do love RSS myself, but it doesn’t really know what to do with events. Our calendar’s RSS is better suited for instances like how you might read WordPress Posts in an RSS list.
I did a bit more digging. The Export Events button, when clicked, will download an ICS file containing all of the displayed events for that particular view. So, for instance, if the button is clicked when viewing events for the month of December, the downloaded ICS file will contain all events in December. However, you can also copy the URL from this button and paste it into a third-party application to automatically sync all events from that calendar. You can try this for yourself with the export URL from our WP Shindig demo site: http://wpshindig.com/?ical=1
Let me know if https://t244.org/?ical=1 works to import all events into Google Calendar.
Thanks

MemberHey Michael
The background in our single events is typically a very light shade of grey. However, your theme is dark with light text, so clearly, that doesn’t work.
Can you add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS?
.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-meta { background: #000; }You can change the #000 to the color of your theme background instead.
Here are our usual CSS tips:
- Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
- We generally don’t recommend that you change the theme or plugin’s CSS files directly, as they will be overwritten. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
- Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
- Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
- Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.
I believe Google Maps isn’t displaying because it looks like your Maps API key hasn’t been entered. Take a look at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/.
Let me know if that fixes things up.
Thanks

I’ve sent your responses back for our lead developer to review. Thank you so much for bearing with us on this.

MemberHey John
You’ll just need to wait a little bit I believe for Google Calendar to run its search for a recently published event again. I’d check back in a few hours to see if it catches that itself.
Thanks

MemberHey John
No worries, text-based communication can be hard.
You can take the .ics file and put it into a Google Calendar youself (https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37118?hl=en), then make that Google Calendar public. https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37083?hl=en
Is that more what you were thinking?
Thanks

MemberHey Michael
I walked through your steps and was able to see my calendar display in full width mode with Event Aggregator active.
My first suggestion would be to check out how your /events page looks when you change these settings: Events » Settings » Display »
Default stylesheet used for events templates
& Events template.

If that doesn’t work:
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/? I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict. That would also mean disabling any child theme you might have in place.
We recommend conducting these tests on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/). If you are unable to do so, please install <a href=”https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/“ title=“Health Check Plugin”>the Health Check plugin so that you can effectively disable all plugins without website visitors noticing any changes.
Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).Â
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks
Courtney 🙂Courtney
MemberHi Donal
Are you able to reproduce this with a default theme, such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/ and with all other plugins except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro deactivated (including turning off CSS Hero)?
We recommend conducting these tests on a <a href=”https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/ title=“Staging Server”>staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).
Thanks
