MemberHello prodesignwv,
Thanks for contacting us! Our developers are hard at work polishing up the next release of The Events Calendar, but I’ll contact them to see if they can spare some time at some point.
If you are in a hurry, a 3rd party developer may be able to take the existing code and tweak it to your needs.
Cheers!

MemberSorry to hear about that!
Unfortunately, without being able to disable the plugins and change the theme there isn’t much to troubleshoot.
Could you submit a private reply with your system info from the bottom of the Events > Settings > Help tab? I might be able to spot the conflict from there, although it is unlikely.
Thanks!

MemberHi quiquealien!
After talking to the rest of the team, this is an especially challenging request. It might even be impossible with our current plugin; the paradigm of the system make break in places if we were to flip what is ‘backwards’ and ‘forwards’, especially if events that are several years long.
Ultimately I would reconsider the way you are storing and presenting events. I think of events as a one time event that a person would attend in one trip and then return somewhere else. The longer the ‘event’ the more like a ‘trip’ it becomes, and that needs another presentation style. ‘Trips’ for example can contain many ‘events.’
That said, you’re more than welcome to try! Unfortunately that level of customization goes beyond the scope of the forums, but if you check out our Themer’s Guide, you could maybe make a template override to display what you want. I say maybe very hesitantly. More than likely it won’t be possible with the current plugin.
As always, if you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.
Does this make sense? Let me know if can explain it better.

MemberThanks Matt,
It sounds like it might be a plugin or theme conflict. Could I get you to do two things?
– Can you confirm you disabled all plugins and changed your theme to a standard theme Twentytwelve? By reactivating them one a time we can find out where the conflict is, if it exists. It might be good to try this on a local or staging server.
– Can you privately reply with your system information? It will be listed at the bottom of the Events > Help tab. Thanks!

MemberHi Matt,
Thanks for contacting us and thanks for creating a forum post! 🙂
Sorry you are experiencing this problem! Two questions:
– Did you upgrade from 3.5.1?
– You say the dashboard says the event was created. Do they appear in the wp-admin with the other events? It might be a problem with permalinks. Could you try flushing them by resaving your permlinks in WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks?
And just to clarify, this is when creating new events. Old events like this one http://www.amfa.ca/event/drop-in-house-clinics/2014-04-08/ were made before updating.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

MemberHello Peter, thanks for contacting us!
The Pro plugin adds individual venue pages, like http://wpshindig.com/venue/meetupery-4/
However, currently at this time there is no auto-populated http://wpshindig.com/venues/ page.
It would be relatively easy to maintain a physical page (by copy/pasting the venue links into it), or even build a plugin that built one from the database.
It’s a great idea though! If you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.

MemberHello Jeff, thanks for contacting us!
The answer is a vague ‘yes’ to most of your questions. The Events Calendar does most of this out of the box, and the $65 Pro license offers even more.
Different Calendars
No, you can’t do different calendars (only one, typically listed at /events or whatever slug you choose).
But you can add categories and tags (they are just custom post types so have all the included taxonomies).
The Filter Bar can than be used to choose a different ‘calendar’. Checking the box add/removes categories that are shown. Sorry we don’t have a live demo of this!
Event Data
The Pro plugin offers a number of widgets to display calendar data, and its configurable too, you can try it out here.
Does this make sense? Let me know if I can answer anything else!

MemberSo free submission, with options to upgrade, correct?
The short answer is ‘No, Community Events doesn’t do *that* out of the box.’ It’s lightweight and meant for free community contributions.
But you seem like a pretty savvy guy and I think you could build a pretty quick solution without spending extra hours on it.
Do you already have a ecommerce plugin attached?
Off the top of my head, you could create a ‘Upgrade listing’ additional field that is a checkbox, and then redirect to a WooCommerce item afterwards.
One of the other support devs suggested using the WPMembers plugin to put the submit page behind a paywall, but I don’t think that is what you are looking for.

MemberHey jouvertrecords, thanks for upgrading!
Sorry you’re experiencing frustration right from the start!
I took a quick look at your site and I think I found the problem widget in the footer.
I might be mistaken, but I think the color is the problem. If you change the CSS to another color, it should show.
Does this make sense? If this isn’t correct and you meant something else please let me know!
Cheers!

MemberHello imperativeideas,
Thanks for reaching to us!
If I understand correctly, you want site users (the public) to be able to submit events with a price attached. Is this correct?
You will be able to do that out of the box with the Community Events plugin.
Here is a screenshot of my local system, running a very basic install with the Twentytwelve theme. As you can see can see at the bottom, the event price is added by default.
You can also test this out by registering at our demo site >> http://wpshindig.com/events/community/add
Does this make sense? Let me know if I can clarify anything!
Cheers!

MemberSounds good. I took a quick shot at it and I think I found the code that will work. If you add this css it should remove the second image:
.tribe-events-content a.thumb_crop { display: none !important; }Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!
