ParticipantHowdy Janice!
Andras is out for the day but I can help. Hiding the start date would be by far the easiest option. You could do that by inserting the following into your functions.php:
add_filter( 'event_tickets_email_include_start_date', '__return_false' );That said if you are very enterprising you could also modify the template to output a different date for that specific template. To do this you would need to create a theme override /event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php then detect if it’s the appropriate ticket and output a different bit of text for the start date. Will require some PHP knowhow to do all of this.
Does that answer your questions?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Craig,
I would love to help you with this. However, I am actually seeing that box on your site, and seeing that it filters out a number of your coaches. Did you possibly get this working in the past couple hours? Is it working how you expect now? If not what can I do to help?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy William,
I would love to help you with this.
I see you are a Community user. Are you trying to select the front end event submission form or the backend editor? Is your goal just to select the object in Javascript/jQuery ?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Tricia,
I would love to help you with this. That certainly sounds odd. It is possible another plugin is setting the query var eventDate to something in the past, causing both of these issues.
Would you mind grabbing your system information and pasting it here? Make sure to use the ‘Set as private reply’ checkbox to protect your private information from the public. You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the ‘System Information’ box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help) That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Also we could jump start the diagnosing by trying a conflict test. This guide walks you through how to test for a conflict, and then identify what is conflicting. This will likely be the best place to start. However after you share your system info I will use that date to examine your site and see if I can find anything. There is a small possibility I will find something and can save you the ~10 minutes it takes to run through the above test. So if you prefer to wait on that I understand!
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy John,
Thanks for reaching out again. I would love to take a look once your developer activates the field.
There are currently no known bugs with location search just not working. However sometimes the Google Maps API that powers or just the ajax requests are broken due to a plugin or theme conflict. This guide walks you through how to test for a conflict, and then identify what is conflicting. That might be the cause here as well if you are interested in diving in further before getting back with a link.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Mark,
Good question. That is not yet possible. It is however a feature we are interested in building and have it logged internally, but it is a very low priority. Building that is surprisingly complex and not enough people want it for it to be top of our list.
Does that answer your questions?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Melinda McCaw,
That is not something that is currently possible with The Events Calendar. However we are planning to add a feature that is quite similar if not identical to this. It will allow users to subscribe to events, and for the admins to send out email blasts. There will be a lot of functionality centered around email and staying in touch with users, and it will likely be out before the end of the year.
I hope that info helps. Please let me know if that answer your questions or if you have any more. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Krosebraugh,
I would love to help you with this. There is an issue with Office 365 and iCal import and that’s why you’re seeing the timezone not be honored. Surprisingly Office 365 is using nonstandard timezones, and because of this our Calendar can not understand them. You will see this issue with other calendar apps as well. However, we are working to fix this all the same even if it is not the fault of our calendar, we want to be compatible with Office 365.
This will likely be fixed in less than 3 weeks, I can not guarantee that date but that is the rough schedule for the current fix. I added your topic to the list of those affected by this so you will be notified when a fix is ready. Until then, hold tight and please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Lara,
Sadly it won’t automatically update. However I can definitely post back when such a version exists. 🙂 I was hoping to have it done this next coming week.
