ParticipantHowdy Joe,
That is a really good question. We are developing a feature of our plugin that will allow for “freeform” recurrences, where you can make recurring events in any pattern, even random ones, by adding any day to the recurrence and specifying the time. Until then, there is no easy way to do what you want.
But, you asked me to be creative. If you are feeling adventerous you could create a single recurrences for M/W/S all for 10:45am. Then trash each instance of Wednesday that isn’t the first of the month, and each Saturday that isn’t the 3rd. Then you open up your database and manually modify the start times on each Wednesday and Saturday correcting them. But this is going to be a painstaking process, and worse still later modifying the event series could cause all of the times to shift back to 10am, and you will need to redo your changes. I wish there was currently a better way.
Does that all make sense? Please let us know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy A S,
Thanks for pointing that out. That documentation was outdated. /events/past no longer exists in newer versions of the plugin.
The URL is now yoursite.com/events/list/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past We had to embrace a longer URL to give that page more flexibility and surprisingly it helps improve SEO in a few ways.
If you change the link around to mimic the above, does it work for you?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Donnie,
The plugins are indeed open source. The files you get to install on your WordPress site contain the source code. Our core free plugin is even hosted publicly on github: https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar
Further, our plugins have a rich API and documentation, allowing you to tack into functions and classes via WP Filters and Hooks. Significant modifications can be made without directly modifying the plugins. This gives you the benefit of being able to easily update the plugins and get new features/improvements, usually without needing to alter your modifications.
Does that all make sense?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Claude,
Thank you for sharing! Really you can choose any method that works for you. If you’re a github user then you could submit them as a pull request: https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar
Or if you prefer you could upload them to any filesharing service you prefer, and post a link here. From there we can test them out. If we can use the translation we would love to give you a free license as a thank you. 🙂
In the future, if you ever want to submit changes directly to our translation website without needing to make and send po/mo files, then checkout this guide: The Events Calendar: Guide to translating a plugin.
Does that all make sense?

ParticipantHowdy Heather,
That’s a really good question. If I were in your shoes I would set those up as recurring events. With how recurring events currently work, when you buy a ticket for a recurring event it actually applies to all events in that recurrence series. So, that’s exactly what you want. In your ticket descriptions you might clarify this to people with a note about how purchasing a seat/ticket gives you access to all days in the series.
The only hiccup is if your events do not always start/end at the same time every day. For now a recurring series must always be on the same time every day. If your events have different times, then you might create multiple events, one for each day. On the first day add tickets like you would normally do. Then on each subsequent day add a link at the bottom of your event to the first day and explain people can purchase tickets if they click it.
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let us know.
Cheers!

ParticipantNo worries at all Karin, it’s a valid question. A license entitles you to support. With an active license you can ask questions on the forums here until the day it expires, and you will continue getting updated versions of our plugins. When your license expires you can no longer ask question, and you will not be able to download new versions of the plugin. But, you can still download past versions, and the past versions will continue working just fine the version of WordPress they were designed for.
Let us know if you have any feedback for us. Obviously sometimes you just don’t need a license anymore. But, if there is something you wish wee did different and that’s why you no longer want a license, we’d love to know what that is. 🙂
Cheers!

July 6, 2015 at 10:54 pm in reply to: Alphabetically sort the lists of organizers and venues #976543Brook
ParticipantHowdy A S,
I am happy you’re enjoying that plugin. Your idea is a cool enhancement to it. The list looks like it is currently ordered by the default order, which usually relate to the order in which the venues/organizers were created.
If you’re a programmed you could add some parameters to the query to order it alphabetically instead: https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query#Order_.26_Orderby_Parameters
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let us know.

ParticipantHowdy Adam,
That’s no good! That feature is certainly still part of the calendar in 3.10. Thanks for sharing a link to your site. I am not seeing that either. I see a form is appearing beneath month view for booking requests. When you added that form, is it possible you removed the month view export? It is attached to the action ‘tribe_events_after_footer’. If you created a theme override for month view, then your override still needs a line like this:
<?php do_action( 'tribe_events_after_footer' ) ?><!--?php do_action( 'tribe_events_after_footer' ) ?-->If you don’t have a do_action line, you will need one for extra stuff like that button to appear.
Does that all make sense? Does that help you find a fix? Please let us know.
Cheers!
