ParticipantHey Richard,
I can not see it. I am using Chrome on Windows.

ParticipantExcellent! That’s what we want to hear. Thanks for the update!

ParticipantHowdy Luc,
I definitely could do that, but I would just be retyping word for word Nico’s instructions that you linked to (click here to read them again). Have you tried following them step by step and doing exactly as he says? If so, are you getting hung up somewhere? From the sound of it you want to do exactly what he has outlined, and his instructions should get your there.
Does that make sense now?

ParticipantThank you for sharing the link Rob. When I open up the Browser Console I see that ajax requests are being sent succesfully, but there is no response. Does your theme have any ajax functions? It is somehow breaking WP’ Ajax API. Can you try disabling those functions? Can you search through its sources for any mentions of ajax, and see if disabling those bits makes things work?
I wish I could be more specific. I am not familiar enough with your theme. Does your theme author have any support channel? They likely have received reports of this from other plugins being broken as well. It is just the WP Ajax API that is not working. If switching themes makes it work, it is likely a problem they are aware of and might have a fix for.
I notice you are also running HTTPS. A lot of security plugins have an option to disable WP Admin access, which breaks the Ajax API. If yours does, does disabling it fix things?
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you for all the info. I am looking into this to see if I can reproduce. It might be possible we can fix th is. It might also be a limitation of Google Maps. I will find out and let you know. Thanks again for sharing the details so we can test.

ParticipantHowdy Stephan,
I am sorry to not get back to you sooner. Last week I was suddently pulled away on a family emergency, and some of the other kind gents here were covering my topics. But, they accidentally missed this one. I will check tomorrow to see if anyone else is experiencing this.

ParticipantHowdy Richard,
Thank you for checking into that. We definitely are keen to work with theme authors and hep make things compatible. If I can get a copy of the theme I could test further. Or if the theme author wants we will definitely give them access to the plugins. Did you hear anything back from the author yet?

July 23, 2015 at 10:57 am in reply to: Unable to submit an event through public "Submit Events" page… #989529Brook
ParticipantHowdy Deb,
Thank you for sharing the error. Based on your screenshot does look like it could be a security or caching plugin improperly interfering with that page.
Sadly I was unable to reproduce the error. I submitted 11 test events, all labeled “Modern Tribe Test #”. If you are still seeing it, we will need to do a conflict test. If you have any security beyond the basic WordPress, such as a plugin which locks down the /wp-admin/ folder, you might try disabling that for now. Also if you have a caching setup, whether it a caching plugin or something built in to your server, can you try disabling that as well. It is very likely one of those. If the error definitely goes away, then we have narrowed it down to one of two things. But if it doesn’t a wider conflict test will be necessary. đ
Cheers!

ParticipantThank you all for reporting what you have tried. I am investigating further why this might be happening. This has not been happening for me in my tests, nor for a couple of other folks. So I am going to request more of the team tries testing it on their system. If one of us can reproduce it it will be much easier to craft a solution.
I will get back to you.

ParticipantDone! You are on the list.
I just check in on the status. It is still going to be a fair bit more time before the beta is ready. Likely a few weeks or perhaps more. I definitely wish it could be sped up, but there is only so much manpower in the world.
Please let me know if you need anything else. Cheers!

ParticipantThat’s awesome Douglas. We also just launched 3.11.1 of Facebook Events. So if you are still experiencing issues, definitely upgrade the plugin in WordPress. Please let us know if you guys notice anything else.
Cheers!

ParticipantThank for elaboratin Joe. It just occurred to me that you will not even need two separate spreadsheets. It could be the same one imported twice. First import it as a venue set, and select the venue columns. Then a second time as an event set. There would be zero risk of it getting out of sync.
But if you don’t wish to do that I understand. I truly hope you can find a different solution, but sadly without building something from the ground up I doubt you will ever find something tailored 100% to your needs. You sometimes need to go that last 2 or 3%.
I appreciate the feedback, and I mean it. I will keep it in mind and see if anyone else in the future mentions wanting something similar. To date I have never seen anyone else with a similar request. It is quite unique to not regularly reuse venues. And if you are reusing even some, the current setup works best for a variety of reasons. If you would like to take this feedback to the next level, please officially suggest this as a feature on our<span class=”Apple-converted-space”> </span>feature suggestion page. From there we can monitor it to see if other folks are voting it up and interested.
Thanks again. I hope you find a solution, either with our plugin or otherwise. I wish I knew of an alternate to recommend, but I have not seen anything close. Cheers!

ParticipantWooCommerce is by far the most popular shopping cart. Because of its popularity it often gets features first. For instance, we are building out a ticket scanning solution where you can check people in at the door using a smartphone and scanning their ticket. This will come to WooCommerce Tickets first. So I think that would be my preference.
Cheers!
