ParticipantThat’s right, Patrick. 🙂 Thank you also for your understanding.
Our calendar is not designed to be on the homepage on the site. If you’d like your visitors to be automatically sent to the calendar page when navigating to your site, a redirect plugin would be a good, expedient solution.
Hope that helps! 🙂

ParticipantYou’re absolutely right, Jonathan. My apologies.
I have been able to reproduce this on your site. Let me see if I can get some ideas from our developer about the dates, as the dates do come through on other sites that I have been testing on.
I’ll be in touch! 🙂

ParticipantHi, randomtype. This is an excellent question. Thank you for bringing it to our attention!
This is indeed a bug in the way that TEC currently interfaces with the Eventbrite API. I apologize that you’re being affected by it. The good news is that relief is on the way! 🙂
We are currently working on a fix that will be rolled out with an upcoming maintenance release. I’m sorry that we don’t have something to help you more in the interim, but hopefully, it’s reassuring to know that the resolution is on the horizon. 🙂
Thanks for your support!

ParticipantHi, Paul! Welcome to the Modern Tribe community. 🙂 We’re very happy to have you here.
These are great questions! First, I want to make sure you know about an excellent resource available to you. For step-by-step instructions to walk you through WooCommerce Tickets from set up, to making your first ticket, and beyond, please check out our New User Primer, linked in the right sidebar under Useful Resources.
From your description, it sounds to me like you were able to setup and configure tickets and make a purchase. That’s fantastic! Then, the two emails that you receive are the ones from WooCommerce saying that an order was processed.
This is a quirk of the WooCommerce engine, but you now have one more step to do. You need to go to the Orders screen in the WooCommerce plugin and mark the order “Completed”. Then, the next two emails, including the one with the tickets, will be sent. (If you’re interested in automating the completion process, please search the forums for suggested solutions. Please remember this is part of WooCommerce functionality, so we’re not really the experts on it here.)
You can then view attendees and orders for a given event from the event editting screen in The Events Calendar. There should be a could of new links that appears after you create a ticket. Those are the ones you want: http://d.pr/i/FIV4 As the organizer, you will not receive an email with the tickets. Only the customer will.
Hopefully, that helps get you on the right track. Let me know if you have any further questions. 🙂 We’re always happy to help!

ParticipantFantastic! 🙂 Well done, Sam. I’m very glad you’re back in business.
Since you’re set here, I’ll close this thread. Please start a new one if anything else comes up!

ParticipantHi, David. Thanks for that.
Would you mind trying this snippet for the remove action:
remove_action(‘tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta’, array(TribeWooTickets::get_instance(), ‘front_end_tickets_form’), 5);
That should do the trick. 🙂
Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHi, Kevin. This is excellent! Thanks so much.
It looks like we were able to locate a bug where this is showing up specifically for recurring events with an initial event that had passed. Would you please confirm that’s the case with all of your events that are showing this behavior?

ParticipantHi, steinaan. I’m very glad to hear that you found a work around, even if it’s not ideal.
Please do let us know if the WooNinjas have any thoughts about the behavior!
Since it sounds like this is resolved for the moment, I’m going to close this thread. Feel free to open a new one if there are any new developments! 🙂

ParticipantWonderful! That looks so much better. Congratulations, didac!

ParticipantHi, Patrick. I think I understand now. Sorry about before.
Would Barry’s solution here suit your needs: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-views-in-the-homepage/#post-69742

ParticipantHi, Jonathan. Thanks for the new creds. We definitely understand your time pressure and will do our best to work with you on this. 🙂
In the past, when I created an event, it was automatically showed up as in the past. Now, when I look at future events, they don’t have that pale blue banner, nor are their dates greyed out in the month grid. Here’s an example: http://simracewaydrivingschool.com/event/performance-driving-1-you-in-your-own-car-on-sonoma-raceway/
Is it possible that in developing your site you have resolved whatever conflict was causing the behavior? If not, please send us a link to an event which is exhibiting the undesirable behavior.
Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantHi, zengirl. It looks like you’re absolutely right. Good catch! 🙂
Thanks for alerting us to this. We’ll definitely put it in the queue to be looked into by our developers. For now, it looks like your snippet is the best solution.
Sorry about that!

ParticipantHi, Kevin. What an excellent and timely question! 🙂
We’re actually in the middle of trying to track down what’s going on with this. Thank you for pointing out that it’s happening on our site. That’s very helpful.
Would you mind sending a link where it’s happening on your site as well as your site’s System Information (from the bottom of the Help page in the Events Calendar Settings screen)? That would be very useful for us.
Thanks, again! 🙂
Kelly
ParticipantOh, fantastic! 🙂 Well done, didac.
For shrinking the sidebar calendar back to its appropriate size, please try out this snippet: https://theeventscalendar.com/mini-calendar-is-too-big-for-the-sidebar/
If that doesn’t work, we can help you figure something else out. 🙂

ParticipantHi, zengirl! That’s a great question! 🙂
Have you tried changing the End of day cutoff time under “General Settings” in the Events Calendar Settings page? That’s likely to be what you’re looking for.
Please let me know how that works! 🙂
