ParticipantHi, luckywebs. Thanks for the details.
I’m afraid that without more information I won’t be of much use. You see, some other plugin, or perhaps your theme is loading the Google Maps API on our page. Because of this, when our page tries to load the API, it doesn’t work.
Your best bet is to take things one at a time. First, try changing your theme to a default WordPress one like Twenty Twelve. If that doesn’t have the map show, then try deactivating all your plugins except for ours, and activating them one at a time until the map disappears.
Once you’ve identified the culprit, you can then get in touch with the developer and let them know what’s going on. If they have any questions for us, we’re more than happy to answer them. Our technical documentation, linked in the sidebar, is also a great resource.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, jrucker. Thanks for your patience!
This appears to be a bug that shipped with our 3.2 release. As a first step, would you mind trying to resolve this by dropping this snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/jazbek/7442734 (You’ll probably need to remove the opening PHP tag.)
Let us know if that does the trick! 🙂

ParticipantHi, Justin. I just noticed that we had inadvertently closed this thread before you had a chance to respond. Oops! 🙂
Have you taken the time to update the plugin to v 3.2.1? If you haven’t, I would encourage you to as there are significant improvements to the Eventbrite API.
After updating, we’d appreciate it if you’d let us know how it went. Thanks!

ParticipantHi, jddvette. Great question!
The update from v1.x to v2.x was significant enough that it requires you do that first, before attempting to update to v3.2. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
Your best bet is to roll back to the v1.6.5 release and then update to v2. Please check out these instructions here: https://theeventscalendar.com/migrating-from-events-calendar-1-6-5-to-2-0/
For previous versions of TEC, you can find them on the WP.org repo: http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/
Let us know how it goes! 🙂
