    Hi there,
On our home page, we have a “featured slider” at the top that rotates through critical time-sensitive events happening. We use a WooThemes theme that has worked great with every other plugin, including yours. We just upgraded to the new 3.2 version you released today (the ONLY change we made on the site) and it broke this and won’t show ANY of our featured content at the top from the slider.

If we deactivate your plugin, everything works fine. There’s something funky in the new 3.2…since every previous version worked without a problem.

    1) How can we fix this immediately?
    2) Is there a way we can roll back to 3.1 where everything was working fine? We really can’t disable the calendar listing or the featured slider…both are critical to our non-profit organization to share information now.

(If you go to the /theatre version of our domain…we have another installation of WP running and you can see how the featured slider top of the home page should be working).

I look forward to your help getting this fixed ASAP.

    Thank you,
    Chris

Follow-up: Good news is we hunted around and found downloads for the 3.1 version. We deleted the 3.2 folders and put the 3.1 in place and everything appears to be working fine. But this obviously doesn’t fix the issue. Can you guys look into this somehow before we upgrade so it’s not breaking homepages? From reading here in the forum a bit more…seems like it was breaking sliders for other folks, too. Please let me know how we can get this solved.

    Thank you,
    Chris

Another concern though – we’re using WP 3.7.1. Will Events Calendar Pro and Events Calendar 3.1 work with WP 3.7.1? Or do we not have to do a full site restore? (Which would be a massive pain since we have new registrations that have come in today that are store in our database)

3.2 has broken my home page as well. My site’s homepage also has a rotating featured stories part that appears based on a certain tag I use for posts. It now only shows Events that happen to have been tagged with my featured post tag.

    Hey CHris

I had similar problem with a wootheme and 3.2. I have seen no issues with wp3.7.1 and ecp3.1 so far.

Here’s a couple of related threads:

    Tags Page Missing

After the update (3.2) the tag-cloud no longer works.

Include in post loop doesn’t work after update to 3.2

There are several more…seems people post before they search 🙂

    Hi Infamia,

Thanks for chiming in. It’s good to hear rolling back shouldn’t cause any issues if we keep WP 3.7.1. That’s the big concern at the moment. I did in fact search the thread beforehand (which is why I commented others were having problems).

I appreciate you trying to help on the main issue, but what you linked to provides zero support or help for what I posted above — there are no solutions listed, it’s not the exact issue we’re having, and half of the threads are “private”. We own several paid plugins from Tri.be so that we can get the professional support/help getting things fixed, which is why this new thread was needed. They’ve been very helpful in the past, so I’m sure their support will come through again.

    Thanks,
    Chris 🙂

Hi, folks. I’m so sorry for the delayed response. In our rush to work on a solution, we failed to get back to you to let you know that we heard your bug report and are working to get a resolution for you.

Please rest assured that this is absolutely a significant issue for us, and we’re looking to provide a workaround or release a hotfix as needed – our lead developer is looking into the matter and we’ll have a reply when we’ve got something substantive to report.

We appreciate everyone’s patience so far and will be back in touch soon!

Hi, folks. Thanks for your patience!

This appears to be a bug that shipped with our 3.2 release. As a first step, would you mind trying to resolve this by dropping this snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/jazbek/7442734 (You’ll probably need to remove the opening PHP tag.)

Let us know if that does the trick! 🙂

    Hi Kelly,
Have you already tested this with other folks running WooThemes? We rolled back to 3.1 to get everything working…so I’m hesitant go back to 3.2 (which we know will break the site) just to test this. I saw reports in the forums of other problems occurring after this was put in place? I’m a little wary as you can imagine. Looking forward to hearing from you on best path to take…

    Thanks,
    Chris 🙂

Hi, Chris. I definitely understand your reticence.

We’ve had 100% positive feedback on using the snippet. If you are nervous, I suggest setting up a test bed to try it out before making changes to your live site.

Please let us know how it goes! 🙂
