MemberHi justjuicy,
Can you summarize what you’ve done so far and what’s holding you up? If I understand correctly from the other thread you referenced you are doing all of this from within a custom template … is the current problem with the code to load all current and future events or is it with hiding/not linking to expired events?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Simon, to go back to your original question first of all:
Can I set the Calendar to just show October 2013?
You could try adding this snippet to your functions.php file – with that in place and assuming you’ve set the default view to Month View then it should go straight to October 2013.
It won’t stop users from navigating forwards/backwards once they arrive on that page, but if that was necessary there are a number of ways you could do it.
Does that snippet basically get you closer to what you want (with the main events view)?
Barry
MemberThanks for jumping in here Andy π
Dostie: does that get you closer to where you want to be with this?

MemberDoes switching to/from Default Page Template to Default Events Template (or vice versa) help here? You can set this in Events > Settings > Template.

MemberHi Alan,
I don’t see the same thing on other sites when visiting with Firefox – what I do notice on your site though is a Javascript error. It looks like it might relate to your theme:
TypeError: $ is not a functionAnd is in relation to this piece of Javascript:
$(document).ready( function(){
$('#header_image').innerfade({
type: 'random_start',
animationtype: 'fade',
speed: 3000,
timeout: 12000,
containerheight: '230px'
});
});Does that help here?

MemberHi lsgdesserts – I’m going to move this across to the WooCommerce Tickets forum first of all.
It does look like something’s gone wrong there – can I ask if you have tried:
* Disabling all other plugins except for The Events Calendar, WooCommerce Tickets (“WooTickets”) and WooCommerce itself
* And at the same time switching to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty TwelveDoes it work as expected under those circumstances?

MemberHi dgallek,
Can you try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file – do note that you will not normally need the <?php tag as that will normally be present already.
Does that help?

MemberOK, sounds like you’re all good here (and thanks for posting back with the solution – as that could definitely benefit others).
We’ll definitely take this feedback on board re the option labelling. I definitely appreciate your reasons for wanting to do this @Ulli … though it does make me wonder if perhaps it isn’t working due to some other underlying problem?
@joeleadedesign: do you have a similar reason for wishing to turn this off? We’d definitely love to hear the reason so we can think more about this feature and the related options going forward.Barry
MemberAlso, can you have a look at my contact page? It has an event title in the page had it seems to appear in other pages I make.
We can definitely try to help with that – could I ask you to post a separate thread for that one though to avoid confusion?
Yes. It happens every day. Not sure on the exact time cause I miss it every time. BUT. I know itβs before the time I set in the settings if the plugin.
OK, one problem from our side is that that’s not really specific enough for us: how do you know this is happening? Even if you don’t know the actual time it occurs at – which would be completely understandable – do you consistently visit at ten minutes to midnight or something of that order and then see that day view has already advanced to the next day? If that’s the case then that would be useful info for us to progress this (and I do hope my question doesn’t sound facetious – I just want to ensure I’ve got a clear picture).
The other thing that concerns me in terms of making sure I understand the problem is your mention of plugin settings – although WordPress’s date/time settings could have a bearing on this I don’t think any plugin settings are really relevant here unless I am misunderstanding – if so it would be great to clear that up.
Last but not least, in the process of looking at this we did manage to identify what looks like a different but possibly related problem with the plugin and WP date/time settings. So we’ll look into that as well – in the meantime if you could clarify the above that would be awesome π
Barry
MemberHi Lyne – is this resolved/if not can you be a little more specific? We’d be happy to help if we can π
Barry
MemberOK – it’s sounding like you’re all sorted here in that case so I’ll go ahead and close this thread. If I’m misunderstanding feel free to post a new request.
Thanks!

MemberHave you tried adding that directory to your child theme, rather than the Karma parent theme?
Barry
MemberHi Carla,
We’d love to help if we can. Can you link me to an event that should have tickets displaying and ideally also share a screenshot showing the ticket settings – ie, the start and end sale dates, inventory and SKU etc?
Though you can’t upload images here directly you can certainly drop links in if you upload the screenshot either to your WP site (through the media library) or else use a service like Droplr.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi everyone, I’m going to assume we’re all good here and close this thread but if there are any further issues please don’t hesitate to create a new thread.
Thanks!
