MemberMinifiers can indeed cause problems as many of them rest on assumptions that will not hold true in every case.
I can really only suggest looking at which scripts are enqueued using the developer tools offered by Chrome, Firefox, IE or some comparable browser and trying to figure out what exceptions you need through a process of test and adjustment, simply because you might exempt one script from minification and find it is still affected by another script that is subtly affected in some other way.
Sorry we can’t do more – and good luck!

MemberHi gatewaydevelopment,
It looks like you may be using a minifier and sometimes those sort of tools can inadvertently corrupt the files they are attempting to minify. In the first instance can you try deactivating whatever is doing that and test to see if that resolves the problem?
I do note that you already tried switching to a default theme, but if the above doesn’t help by itself can you repeat that and at the same time also deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Dimitri – I cannot seem to access the URL you provided. Can you confirm the URL is accurate (and am I correct in thinking we’re interested in the French translation here)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThat definitely would cause a few issues, however I can’t see the same thing locally if I test on a ‘plain vanilla’ installation, nor can I on our remote test site or even our demo site (in all cases it is correctly prefixed with a Google domain).
When you opened this thread you noted that you had tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme. Can you confirm what the outcome of that test was?

MemberHi wwa:
Can you confirm you have entered your license key and is your domain also showing if you visit the license key management page here on tri.be?
Barry
MemberActually John – please disregard. That definitely seems to be a legit bug. We’ll investigate and get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi John,
I’m sorry to hear that: can you confirm which version of our plugin(s) you are using?
Thanks!

MemberHi Kristy,
I took a look and located the toggle on your upcoming events list as expected – if you have any further concerns or questions about this I would ask you to create a new thread (as we try to keep to a policy of one issue per thread – thanks!).
Regarding your remarks about the Show only the first instance of each recurring event setting, I’m struggling to find an example of this on your site – can you provide some URLs/screenshots to illustrate what you mean?
Thanks!

MemberHi Kevin,
Sorry for the delay in responding first of all.
The tricky thing here is (though I can indeed see this on Shindig) we can’t actually replicate it ourselves in a stock installation. I see you are running our latest version – can you confirm if any of these recurring events were created prior to updating to that version?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberSure thing. Bear with me a little longer – the meta walker is a new addition to the plugin and I just want to be sure we’ve got a firm handle on it before I give you a response.

MemberTo take up ddcaoregon’s feedback, can anyone else confirm that the issue appears/disappears according to whether PRO is activated or not?

MemberOK, thanks for trying.
Would it be at all possible to gain access to your site so we can try this for ourselves (just in case any obvious issues/hints to the underlying problem pop out at us)? Can you also confirm if your WordPress installation is configured as a multisite network (if you’re unsure what this is then it’s probably safe to say you are not).
You can share details using our private reply facility and as an added precaution we will anyway remove them once we have obtained a copy.
Thanks!

MemberYou can obtain historic versions of our plugins from the downloads page (and directly from our wordpress.org repo for the core plugin) if you want to go down that path.
While I sympathize with your viewpoint on this one it may even so be the case that this is due to a malpractice in your theme/other code and it just so happened not to trip up our older releases – it doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem with 3.1.
That said, we’d love to find out if it is a problem with our code. As this is so specific to your installation though we can really only do that if you’re willing to work through it with us: I’ll leave this open in case you do want to troubleshoot further, but if you’re happy to roll back to an earlier version instead then that’s fine too 🙂

MemberThanks everyone – looks like this is cropping up in a number of different scenarios and I just want to discuss with the team so we can think about the best way to move forward here.
Thanks for your patience 🙂

MemberThe original function definition (if you want to use it as a reference for your own) can be found in public/template-tags/general.php. Hope that helps – and I’ll go ahead and close out this thread. Cheers!
