    Happy to have helped πŸ™‚

If you feel so inclined, please do consider leaving a review on our wordpress.org homepage. Thanks! (I’ll go ahead and close this thread since it sounds like we’re all good here.)

Ok – in that case it sounds like everything is functioning as expected and an educated guess would be that the theme’s magazine view is based upon a custom query, which isn’t something we can assist with I’m afraid.

With regards to integration with the RSS feed, have you checked out this tutorial?

I did indeed miss that – apologies!

However, I’m wondering if this Magazine Template you are referring to builds up its posts using a mechanism other than simply leveraging the main blog loop. Is that a possibility?

Can you achieve something similar to Twenty Twelve with show-your-latest-posts on the front page but with Canvas and does the problem still manifest under those conditions?

Have you enabled the include events in main blog loop setting?

    Hi!

You’re covering a number of different issues and I’ll try to address each here, but if you need further help please do break them up into separate threads.

We’re trying to export events using standard WP methods and running into following issues/problems

I’m afraid we can’t guarantee success using the standard WordPress import/export tools. For some people it has worked, but there is certainly at least one bug still to be addressed which can result in issues when doing this.

With that said, I wouldn’t actually have expected the issue you are describing and wonder if that might actually be triggered by something else on the destination site. Can you confirm if the entry for that event in the exported XML file is correct, with respect to the event start date?

Significant portion of events are not being exported/imported at all.

Again, difficult for us to help with this. Do you know that all of the events are actually being exported (have you inspected the export data)? Conversely, if we’re talking about a large amount of data, is it possible you are hitting timeout issues when importing?

When I add a farmers market, it appears one day before it should. See: https://ontarioculinary.com/event/farmers-markets-saturday/2014-01-04/

Your site is loading very slowly and timing out – could be temporary – but it makes it hard for me to view the actual event and figure out what might be happening.

If it is an all day event this could be a known bug – depending on the end-of-day cut-off setting. However, let’s look at this in a separate thread to avoid confusion between issues.

Similarly so for the recurring event issue.

And on emore thing. Can You make so that the license key works on both sites

If you have a single site license you will need to clear it from the initial site and then re-enter it on the new site. Tools to manage license keys can be found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/

    Thanks!

No problem at all – certainly we also want to get the filters plugin out and available, but yes we also need to make sure it’s gone through our QA processes and that any issues that are picked up are addressed before release.

    Good luck with the project!

I like the header at the top of the old version better. Can we do something like that?

There’s an option to use the ‘classic header’ in the Events β†’ Settings β†’ Display admin screen. Would that help here?

How can I add a link to add or edit events, if possible?

Logged in users (with editorial permissions) will normally see the WordPress admin bar at the top of the screen, which provides just such a link πŸ™‚

So there are some interesting venue locations in there – one for instance is a venue pending publication with a location in northwest Thailand (this venue has a post ID of 1042 if you want to check it out). That is throwing off the calculations performed to work out the approximate centre region and it may be there are some other venues that are similarly throwing things out.

Of course, the fact that it is pending publication means it probably shouldn’t be included in the calculation – and I’ll definitely log that as a bug for us to address.

Sorry for any inconvenience in the interim.

Because (it looks like) you are reusing the same admin view file – perhaps by using the tribe_get_embedded_map() function – hence the error, as that view includes the script element used for loading the Google Maps API.

Something like the snippet in my last reply should be a viable way of removing it, though (but you might need to adapt it a little).

We’d prefer not to login unless absolutely necessary: can you confirm if this issue persists even with no other plugins activated and only a default, unmodified theme?

Can you remind me what that customization was?

    Hi Peter.

I’m guessing you are referring to this thread. All I can really say is, we want to help and we even went so far as to obtain a copy of the theme and test it out for ourselves. Not being able to replicate the problem however makes it very difficult to assist.

I may also have misunderstood your comments, as it seemed to me that even with Graphene comments also worked for you at one point. Apologies if that was not in fact what you meant.

If you turn the events to show to 0 it still creates and displays the event. Screenshots are in the dropbox.

There is a bug with this widget that we hope to address in an upcoming maintenance release. You can try fixing it right now though if you set up a template override within your theme at:

    tribe-events/pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php

And place this code into that new file. There’s some good guidance on setting up template overrides (if you need more details on the process) within our Themer’s Guide.

Does that help at all with the second issue, at least?

Beyond a redirect I’m afraid we’d need to leave you to figure out the details of this – at this time, we would consider it an advanced customization (though you may be able to find examples of how others have tackled this across the forum).

Please do show your support for this feature over on our UserVoice page which we use to collate feature requests.

    Thanks!

    Hi maze,

Interesting, so this is a custom view you are building? If so please note that we can’t offer a great deal of support for custom development tasks. That said, based on the way you seem to be putting this together, you might be able to leverage a snippet like this.

You would have to be careful however that this doesn’t adversely impact on other default views that ship with The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO (if you are using them).

    Hope that helps!
