Exclude Category from Month View

Hi,
I am trying to set up my site to appear to have 2 separate calendars. I am doing this by having one main calendar:
http://www.beverlyma.gov.php53-9.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/events/month/?style=list
and another displaying the “City Meetings” category only:
http://www.beverlyma.gov.php53-9.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/events/category/city-meetings/2013-12/?style=list

My problem is that the events in the City Meetings category are still showing up on the main calendar http://www.beverlyma.gov.php53-9.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/events/month/?style=list
Ideally, I would like the City Meetings category to be filtered out of this view. Am I able to do this?

Hi Andrew,

How about categorizing everything else in a Main category, then linking to that as your principal calendar? You could even catch requests to the main calendar and perform a redirect, so as to stop people landing on an uncategorized version of month view (for example).

Does that sound like a workable solution?
