Custom single event meta info…

Hi there, I was curious if there was a way to customize the meta info at the bottom of each single event. I managed to figure out how to customize the meta info in the list view but the single event info is wrapped into one hook and I did not want to edit any of the core files. The meta info I’m referring to is the Details, Venue and Organizer info at the bottom of each individual event post.

All I really wanted to do was to remove Organizer (we don’t have many listed) and just move over the Categories to that column. I like how the Details and Venue info all works so I just wanted to change the last column. Would I have to call each item in the list individually? Or is there a hook for the Details and Venue section’s meta that I could use? The hook I wanted to change up was “tribe_events_single_event_meta” I believe.

Any assistance on how to edit the last column is greatly appreciated! Thank you much!!

Unfortunately a bug in the current release makes this a tad difficult. You should be able to use a snippet like this but it won’t work right now, I’m afraid. However, stay tuned and the next maintenance release will hopefully resolve this.

Thank you much for the response Barry! That’s too bad it won’t work just yet. If this and the filtering work in the next update then you’ll make all my wishes come true! Crossing my fingers 🙂

We can’t offer up or commit to any specific dates, but there’s certainly an excellent chance that the next maintenance release will be with us soon 🙂

Filters (I’m guessing you mean the filters plugin?) may not be available quite so quickly, but we are close.

One out of two isn’t bad 🙂 Yeah, I was definitely referring to the filtering plugin. We are looking to add it to our site that is launching the first week of the new year so we are crossing our fingers but understand perfection is key. Thanks for all the responses!!

No problem at all – certainly we also want to get the filters plugin out and available, but yes we also need to make sure it’s gone through our QA processes and that any issues that are picked up are addressed before release.
