MemberThe attendee screen does indeed require edit_posts so your new user role would need to include that or else you would need to grant it only under a restricted set of conditions.

MemberHi @davecrfraser,
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing problems here – we’d love to help if we can.
Okay, Events Calendar PRO used to show up in the wordpress admin sidebar as well as events. Now it just shows Events (not pro) in the sidebar
This sounds like expected behaviour to me, there has been a single Events menu for quite a few releases now. Which version did you upgrade from?
and I can’t find any events I’ve entered (although they’re showing up on the actual calendar fine)
That definitely sounds problematic. The first thing to check is that no Advanced Post Manager filters are active. To that end, can you visit the main list of events in the admin environment and locate the prominent box at the top of the screen marked Filters & Columns … hit the clear button, navigate away to some other page then return again. Do you now see events?
If not, the next step is to run through our standard troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme – let me know if that helps.
Thanks!

MemberHi Robert,
I’m sorry that you’re having problems. Can you list the conflicting plugins? That will give us a better chance of replicating the issue.
Thanks!

MemberApologies everyone, that last reply shouldn’t have been marked as private – our forum software can be a little overzealous sometimes. Let me re-post that:
We did do some work in relation to that problem and it looks like the calendar widget may unfortunately have been missed or some code inadvertently rolled back, perhaps – but we’ll certainly ensure this gets back on the tracker and fix it as quickly as we can. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
@Matthew: with regards to events not being listed below the widget, that’s a different issue but if I’m understanding you correctly it’s not something I can replicate. Can you create a new thread for this specific issue?
Thanks!
