MemberYes it is a Modern widget – I had to change the css for the h3 in the widget but that’s it. The Modern calendar came with the theme I purchased.
Right – it may have come with the theme, but we don’t have anything called a “Modern Widget” (and you can get a sense for how our widgets look over on our demo site). If that really is a customized version of one of our widgets, it is so heavily customized – and not merely by CSS – that we cannot support any issues with it.
Based on what you’re telling me, though, it sounds like it is actually a feature of your theme rather than being something our plugin generated. To that end the best place to seek support is from the theme vendor.
Does that clarify things/make sense?

MemberExcellent, thanks for sharing – I see what you mean now.
By happy coincidence (though it actually stemmed from a different report where the plugin was translated into German) we actually have an issue in progress to fix this – so though I can’t give an absolute guarantee I’d like to think this will make it into the next maintenance release.
Thanks for reporting this – do you have any further questions on this one?

MemberEDIT FEB 15: I think I accidently clicked the “this is resolved” option when it’s not. D’oh…
That’s ok – since you went ahead and created a new thread anyway we’ll pursue things there (and we’ll keep this one closed).

MemberI’m hoping that was enough to get you on track toward a solution and will close this thread – but if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed … thanks!

MemberJust to update you: we haven’t unturned anything to suggest there is a problem within the plugin itself, so I’d strongly recommend the second set of troubleshooting steps if you are still hitting this issue:
The second would be to establish a new WordPress installation (perhaps in a subdirectory somewhere) and initially install only our plugins and no non-default themes – see if the same issue crops up. If it is an immediate problem in those conditions, that points to there being some sort of environmental issue and we’d need to look at the details of your hosting environment.
Let us know!

MemberI’ll go ahead and close this thread – of course if we can help with anything else please go right ahead and create new threads as needed – thanks!

February 20, 2014 at 6:06 am in reply to: Events Calendar Pro conflicts with Genesis Grid plugin #106903Barry
Memberjaapstronks, I sympathize but I’m not sure there is much more we can do to help:
- As described in my first reply, I can’t replicate this issue
- I just repeated the test using Genesis without any child themes. Both the grid plugin and The Events Calendar were able to operate side-by-side and it was pretty clear visually that the grid effect was being applied (and indeed I could see the relevant CSS classes such as .one-half being applied)
- So, though we’re happy to take a look and have done so, this is not only a pretty specific problem relating to a third party plugin but additionally is a problem that we just can’t see
Please also note that there is no higher tier of support you can pay for at this time.
I appreciate it must be a fairly frustrating situation for you, but right at this moment I’m afraid we can’t do much else to assist. Given that and the fact that the authors of the other plugin will not themselves provide you with support I could really only suggest working with a suitable developer who can provide a higher level of assistance (and if you would like a list of people we recommend please do email us at pro [at] tri [dot] be).
