MemberOK – so can you clarify what are you actually experiencing that isn’t meeting your needs?
For instance, if I type Pyrmont into the location (“Near”) field in the context of map view then a test event at a venue I created (which is in Harris St, Sydney – but doesn’t include the term “Pyrmont” in the actual address data I entered) is returned among the results. Can you link to a venue in Pyrmont on your site with upcoming events, that isn’t returned in the result set when you search for Pyrmont in the Near field?

MemberYou could certainly disable day view and that may help.
Alternatively, this plugin – though not officially supported – may potentially help here, as it prevents day views from returning a 404 status, amongst other things, so it could be worth a shot.

MemberHi!
It’s difficult to say without seeing the full picture in terms of where and when that piece of code runs, but my suspicion would be that it depends on the global post object being set to a valid WooCommerce product.
If that’s not the case and instead the global post object is an event or something else, I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this spring up.
Does that help at all?

MemberHi Jamie:
That’s expected for day views containing no events, One thing we do – and you can see this if you view the source – is set a tag instructing search engines not to index these pages:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow" />This has been correctly set on the page you referenced. Is it possible then that the information you are getting from webmaster tools is purely diagnostic in nature, rather than suggesting there is a problem that will impact on your search ranking?
If you would prefer day views do not link to other, empty day views – or would prefer day views do not return 404 errors, we’re certainly open to your feedback if you would like to post it on UserVoice: we’d certainly be open to exploring changes for future releases.
Thanks!

MemberHi Martin,
We’re limited to an extent by the Google Geolocation API here – however if you want to propose some ideas that might make these sorts of searches better in future releases we’re definitely open to any feature requests you might post 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHmm, not being a Mac user nor an Excel user I’m not sure I can easily answer that one.
However, if you have a plain text editor such as gEdit or Sublime Text available you should be able to open your CSV in that and re-save in the correct format – does that help? I would have thought it is possible to do it in a single step via Excel, but would need to leave it to you to look through their documentation on that one.
