This thread’s not seen much activity for the last couple of weeks so I’ll go ahead and close it. Of course if you still need help with this or any other issue please don’t hesitate to create a new thread (or threads) and one of the team will be only too happy to help. Thanks!

Hi – sounds like a great project!

Certainly possible, yes, and if you’ve got a developer at your disposal to do the customization work (my impression is that some amount of work would be needed to make it really jive with your expectations) it should definitely be achievable.

Why not start with our free, core plugin (The Events Calendar itself) – let your developer take a look and see what he thinks? We’ve also got lots of resources to help you/your developer make customizations that you might point him or her to:

I hope that helps but please don’t hesitate to let us know if you need additional help or further information about any other aspects of the plugin 🙂

Hi! Based on the chatter in Twitter I think you might have solved this – but basically some browsers may automatically unzip downloads on your behalf – that being the case you would need to turn off that setting and try again or else rezip the download.

    Hope that helps!

Happy to help: we can certainly leave this open a little longer.

    Anything is possible!

If you want to embed month view within other regular WordPress pages and specify a different category for each then that is admittedly going to take a little work and you’d need to be fairly at home with developing custom WordPress solutions to implement this – but you might find that simply setting up links to the various different categories achieves the same thing “for free”.

For example, you could have one link in your menu to http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordpress-meetups/ and another to some other category in month view, etc.

Hopefully that would help and we look forward to seeing you in our customer forums 🙂

Hi – I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.

Can you confirm what the status of those orders is (is it Pending? If so and you change the status to Complete do they show in the attendee list at that point?

I think you should be good if you change the post_author field: the best thing to do is try it out with one event, confirm it behaves as expected (or not) and then take things from there.

Also, is there a snippet that will allow past events to be shown on the My Events list (in addition to upcoming events)?

You could try this and see how you get on 🙂

    Hi Sean,

I may need to pass this over to a colleague with access to IE, but before I do so I note you already tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme: can you confirm that the issue still persisted under those conditions?

    Thanks!

Hi – that’s an interesting idea!

Right at this time, no, not without doing some custom dev work – but I can definitely see why that would make sense in some situations and if you want to post a feature request we’ll certainly consider it 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi Andreas,

If you view the attendee list, click on the relevant order number to edit it and change the status to Refunded (for example) you should find that the change is reflected in the attendee list along with a prominent warning icon.

Does that help at all here?

Hmm. I’m not sure that it is a bug as such – but you’re correct in stating that the ticket products aren’t automatically destroyed and nor is their visibility changed when the event ends (ordinarily, since the default behaviour is not to expose them in the catalog at all, this isn’t an issue).

Generally speaking though if you choose to break away from the default set of behaviours there may be other side effects which crop up that you also need to address.

    I hope that helps/clarifies things 🙂

    Hi getreadingright,

One approach could be to simply rename the tickets product category (but leave the slug as it is). Beyond that there’s no particularly easy way to do this without some custom dev work – however we’d definitely consider any feature requests you might make along these lines.

    Thanks!
