MemberThanks for your patience while we looked into this.
This seems to be a bug with the recurring event instances setting: to bear this theory out and confirm if it is indeed the same in your case, can you try deactivating it (you can find it in Events → Settings → General and it’s labelled show only the first instance of each recurring event).
It shouldn’t impact on the calendar widget but clearly can do so and I’ll log this as in need of further attention. If you find that’s not actually the same thing as you are experiencing, though, please let me know.
Thanks!

MemberAwesome, fantastic you got to the bottom of this one 🙂
I’ll go ahead and close this thread but if we can assist with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed.

MemberI don’t recall anything in recent memory and the plugin has been under continual development to the point that even 6-month old threads may have limited relevance.
Have you integrated events into the main blog loop? Does deactivating that settings resolve this if so?

Member
Sounds like you’re making progress! I’m afraid we can’t really help further with custom development tasks like this, but we can certainly leave this open if you want to post your final solution or any other info that you think might be useful for others along the way :-)

Good luck!

MemberOK, to ensure we’ve covered all the bases (it doesn’t look best I can tell like your theme was covered in the troubleshooting you conducted earlier) could I ask you to:
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Simultaneously, switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Thirteen
- Create a new recurring test event
- Does it behave as expected?
Could you also reply with a copy of your system information as found in the Events Help screen (near the bottom)?
Thanks so much for you continued patience while we work through this 🙂

MemberOK: one way to review recent threads you have created is by visiting your user profile at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/users/chrisgeist/ (though I know it isn’t too obvious how to find it).
Re the visual bug, can we clarify what exactly this is? Is it the issue whereby on hovering over an event in month view it appears to be duplicated?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberAwesome!
If you have a moment we’d be stoked if you were able to leave us a review and any feedback on your experiences so far: http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/reviews/
(I’ll go ahead and close this thread now – but if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed – thanks!)

MemberSo if you view the list of events in the admin environment, and hover over an event name, you should see some links like:
Edit All | Edit Single | ...other links... | AttendeesThe final link should take you to the list of attendees for the event. Does that help?

MemberI’m not sure that that is being generated by our plugin:
buttonImage : ‘http://7iber.org/wp-content/plugins/statpress-visitors/images/smoothness/calendar.png’
Can you try deactivating Statpress Visitors and see if that is still present?
Barry
MemberOK, well we’ll definitely make a point to take a look. I can’t guarantee if we’ll be able to provide a solution though and it may also be worth your posting on the support forum for Custom Post Type Permalinks.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberCan I also ask that if you are seeing duplicate recurring events in the admin environment you try clearing the filters (in the Filters & Columns box right above the list of events) and see if that resolves things – it might provide some temporary relief here, depending on your individual situation.
Barry
MemberEveryone – we’re sorry for the inconvenience here and are investigating the root of this issue, please bear with us a little longer and of course we’ll post back here with updates as soon as we’ve got something substantive to report back.
