MemberHow strange: I’m sorry you’re experiencing problems here.
I realize you’ve tried a few things like changing template but can I ask you to go a step further and deactivate all other plugins (except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO) and also switch to an absolutely unmodified, default theme – whether Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Thirteen or another of the official defaults.
Does the same thing still occur under those conditions?

MemberHi Gary,
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience. We’re aware of this and have a potential fix in the wings that you’ll be able to apply (in the form of a plugin you can use to fix things up – after which you can delete it).
We did find a slight issue which means we’re holding off from issuing it right now, but I’d hope to have it ready by tomorrow and we’ll certainly do our best to update this thread at that point (and on this occasion, please don’t hesitate to “bump” it if you don’t see a reply by lunch tomorrow, though).
Thanks for your patience.
April 17, 2014 at 5:01 pm in reply to: WooCommerce Tickets. Need for member tickets to be free. Possible? #135638Barry
MemberGreat question – and thanks for considering our plugins 🙂
What you want is not facilitated directly out-of-the-box, you’d need to do a little customization work. With that said, such a customization needn’t be overly complicated – all our plugins are customizable and the ticket form for instance can be cleanly overridden, letting you workaround this by checking if the user is logged in and, if so, showing one ticket (or, if not, showing a different one … one being free, one having a cost).
So though it would take a little bit of work to do this it probably isn’t too hard in the scheme of things, depending of course on what you’re comfortable with.
I hope that answers your question, but let me know if we can help with anything else.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberI’m sorry you’re facing difficulties.
I realize you already indicated having run through a number of troubleshooting steps, but I’d like to post a more complete set that may be suited to this specific scenario:
- Ensure your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date (sounds like you’ve already done this – great!)
- Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO
- Switch to a default and completely unmodified theme such as Twenty Thirteen
- Please now visit the Permalink Settings screen: you don’t need to change anything, though – just visiting this page will “flush” or clear out the rewrite table maintained by WordPress
- Now test to see if single events are accessible
Assuming for the moment that resolves the problem, start reactivating everything – testing at each stage to see if the problem has returned.
Does that help/allow you to isolate any conflicts with other components?
Let us know!

MemberHi: I’m sorry you’re facing difficulties.
When a user is not logged in (ie, if you accept anonymous submissions) we do add some anti-spam measures – a hidden honeypot – but, sadly, it’s not infallible.
If you’d like to see stronger measures in place then please post a suitable request, beyond that though you’d either need to implement extra anti-spam measures yourself or else limit submissions to authenticated (logged in) users.
Does that help at all or at least explain the current situation?
Barry
MemberHi – sorry you’re hitting difficulties here.
I don’t see the calendar widget in use on your site but am quite possibly missing it. Can you point me to an example? My suspicion is a Javascript error could be at work here and so our regular troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme (such as Twenty Thirteen) are well worthwhile, as if that solves this it will indicate there is a conflict with something (and we can then focus on finding the specific conflict).
Let us know how you get on!
Barry
MemberThat’s strange – and I appreciate you taking the time to deactivate all other plugins. Can you confirm that the problem persists if you also switch to a default theme?
