December 21, 2017 at 4:08 pm in reply to: Importing Events from CSV File – All Events Not Importing #1411334
Barry
MemberI’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against some difficulties.
Unfortunately, I seem unable to replicate this even if I use the data you supplied. In your CSV, I see three events all with the same name (“Basic Welding”) and they are marked as taking place on the following dates:
- 4/16/18
- 1/20/18
- 1/8/18
After import I end up with three events of that name on dates matching those I listed above, so there’s no problem I can see there. Is it possible that you previously deleted two of those events (if you visit the main events list in the admin environment, do you see an ‘Ignored’ tab next to “Published’, ‘Draft’, etc)?
Let me know what you find — I’ll be happy to explore this further with you π

December 21, 2017 at 2:52 pm in reply to: What is the criteria for CSV import \"update\" vs \"new\"? #1411304Barry
MemberHi Tak,
Manually adding recurrence rules is completely fine and of course if you delete all imported events before each subsequent import you will also need to repeat this step each time.
Let me know if I can add any more clarity π

MemberAwesome π
Thanks for your support and patience, everyone, while we worked on this fix.
I’ll go ahead and close this topic but of course feel free to post new ones as needed if there is anything else you need assistance with.

MemberHi Luis,
The WAVE tool is pretty comprehensive but it doesn’t make the source of that specific error particularly clear.
That said, after experimenting with other sites (where The Events Calendar is not used, but where Google Maps are embedded) I can see the same error and believe it may result from the markup generated by Google to create the map.
In other words, the image without an alt tag is within the map itself … and this is not something we have direct control over.
Unless you believe I’m mistaken on this I’d think the best path forward is either to ignore this specific error or else work with the team over at Google Maps to resolve things / determine if a fix is on their roadmap.
Let me know it that helps π

MemberThanks April: that’s a fair request and adding it to our UserVoice page is definitely worthwhile (it will help us to gauge demand for this and allow others to comment on it with anything else they feel should be considered as part of the same feature) π

MemberHi there Gesine — great question!
Event Aggregator is a service rather than a traditional plugin. As such, you can only make use of it for as long as you have a valid license key.
If after the first year you (or your client) unsubscribe then you will no longer be able to import new events … of course, everything you’ve imported up to that point is completely safe.
I hope that clarifies things and do let me know if you have any further questions π
