    Hi again Mark,

Thanks for your patience so far – much appreciated 🙂

Hopefully you can see my private reply (above) which will give you access to the test site: this is a fresh WordPress installation with the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO running – I also imported some test data as you can see if you view the list of events.

As it stands there doesn’t seem to be any problem – you can login, view the frontend, edit events etc all without hitting a white screen. Given that, I’m inclined to challenge your hosting company’s assertion:

I can tell you that it IS (Events Calendar Pro )causing the problem, but not really why, other than this line of code being broken: /events-calendar-pro/lib/apm_filters.php on line 39

If there was a problem with that line of code (and, as we noted before, it’s not a line of code that really does anything complex – it simply sets a piece of text) I’d really expect it to also be a problem here on the test site.

All in all this suggests that the problem is either a conflict with one or more of the plugins (or indeed the theme) on your live site – or else it could be environmental in nature. Sometimes, when available memory is tight or other constraints are hit up against, misleading errors can crop up in unexpected places and disguise the true problem.

    Here’s what I propose:

    • Though I do realize you indicated having already run through our standard troubleshooting steps it could be worth reviewing these a second time in case something was missed
    • Alternatively, why not try adding all of the same plugins that you have on your live site to the new test site (and also add your theme) – see if you can replicate the problem there
    • It could also be worth going back to BlueHost support: though they said they can’t really tell us why the line of code they cited is causing a problem if it’s a straight-up PHP error they should be able to tell you the actual error being logged

Can you give that a go?

    Hi Mark,

So the ideal way forward would be if you create the test site and set it up as described in my last reply, then share the credentials for that test site only – that way my access is appropriately limited.

If you can’t do that and prefer that I set it up that’s absolutely fine – but because the credentials you have provided give me access to far more than just a test site alone I have to ask you to give your explicit consent for us to login and do this work on your behalf before I can proceed: I also need to make it clear that we can accept no responsibility for any issues that may arise from this.

Can you confirm that’s all in order?

Hi – I’m sorry for the further confusion.

So in this situation two different keys are applicable and you need to enter both in a couple of different places:

    • The plugin license key, issued by us
    • Your Eventbrite API key, issued by Eventbrite themselves

I found that license key for the plugin and thats the one that i’ve imputed. And it is showing that the plugin is active in our profile on here.

So you’ve added your plugin license key and it sounds like it is working, so that’s great.

So I’m really lost as to why this is not working for us. Cause I am using the number at the end of the event, it still says I cant import.

My guess is that you have not yet entered your Eventbrite API key which needs to be added to the user profile of each user who is going to interact with Eventbrite. It’s important that you do enter it in the user profile and not the Events → Settings → Licenses screen.

It’s definitely worth taking the time to review our new user primer for Eventbrite Tickets (particularly this section, steps 9-11) as it covers all of this in detail.

    Does that help?

A timezone-related issue was fixed – but not the one you have described in this thread.

I’m afraid we can’t give an ETA, but we’re currently wrapping things up for our very next release and because that is subject to a code freeze I’m afraid we are unable to squeeze this in, so we’ve provisionally scheduled this work for the following release instead.

As before, we’ll certainly do our best to post updates in this thread as things progress 🙂

    Hi Marty,

You’ll probably want to use tribe_get_recurrence_text() for this:

    echo tribe_get_recurrence_text();

    Does that help?

    Hi plafferty,

I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties here.

Would it be because the event is not until next month?

That shouldn’t be a problem. In fact, because the default behaviour is to use the event start date as if it were the publication date in this scenario, it means any upcoming events really ought to “float to the top” of your blog loop content.

I have recently installed a new theme: Nexus from Elegant Themes.

I’d definitely recommend doing a quick test with a default theme such as Twenty Thirteen. If you find that works then of course it’s quite likely there is some sort of conflict with your new theme – what we have found, periodically, is that for whatever reason some themes “reinvent the wheel” and create their own query to form the main blog loop.

In cases such as this, the theme’s re-implemented blog loop is not the true WordPress blog loop – and The Events Calendar is unable to integrate with it – so that’s a possibility here.

    Hi efromdc,

    I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.

We’re often limited in terms of how much support we can offer for third party plugins but I realize WordPress SEO by Yoast is very popular indeed and wanted to test this out. Here’s what I tried, with just The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and WordPress SEO activated:

    • Edited an existing event
    • Added various bits of text to the fields (including “SEO Title”) in the General tab of the WP SEO meta box
    • Updated the event
    • Navigated to the corresponding venue
    • On editing the venue, none of those fields appeared to have inherited the data I entered for the event

Is it possible something else is conflicting here?

    Hi fullservicepage,

Right now WooCommerce Tickets does not offer any support for recurring events. I’m a bit concerned by your description of the problem, though:

If I use the number of tickets in the event sieries it is the overall number and after one purchase all events disappaer!

Are you saying the actual events (as opposed to the tickets) are being removed?
