Sorry to hear you are facing difficulties.
Post Types Order seems like a fairly popular plugin so I did want to check this out in case there is anything we could do differently in our own codebase to avoid the problem.
However, I’m having some problems replicating. With only The Events Calendar, Community Events and Post Types Order activated things seem to work as expected and users can view their list of events and edit them successfully. Is it possible the conflict lies elsewhere/have you tried playing with any relevant settings to see if some sort of configuration issue is impacting?
I did additionally try changing the Post Types Order minimum user level setting to Editor and then attempted to edit my submssions as a Subscriber level user – but again it worked as expected.
It could also be worth reaching out to the Post Types Order team for this issue (if you haven’t already done so).

We’ve been working on this and we’re hopeful we’ll have a fix available in our very next release – which is just in the final stages of preparation. So, if you can hold on a little longer and barring any unforeseen technicalities, a fix will be with you soon 🙂
