MemberHi webotools – are you all sorted here?
Barry
MemberIt shouldn’t take very long at all.
Perhaps you work with someone else who is handy with this kind of task and you could refer them to my above instructions?
If not, it may be that you do indeed need to engage a professional to help you out here.

MemberHi Dawn/Kim,
I’m really sorry for the confusion. What I didn’t mean was to try and navigate to the plugin directory via a web browser (which by the sounds of it is what you tried).
Instead, I meant you should use either your web host’s file manager or a piece of software called an FTP client (but probably the web host’s own file manager, if they have one, will be easier here).
You see, WordPress as a piece of software is made up of lots of different files: often these cannot be accessed via the browser. I think the problem here is that an older and now incompatible file is present and that is causing this problem, so it needs to be removed and replaced with a newer, working copy (hence my above instructions).
I appreciate that you probably don’t want to be dealing with this level of complexity and in the normal running of things you would not need to do so. Did someone originally set the site up on your behalf and can you approach them now for help?

MemberGreat – and thanks so much for replying with the fix, could be useful for other users out there 🙂
Hope everything else goes smoothly for you!

MemberJust a note, the Housekeeper plugin has been updated to provide improved handling of recurring events.

MemberHi angel – do you still need help here? If not or if you’re all sorted I’ll close this thread. Thanks!

MemberCurrently yes: it must be a widget called from within a widgetized sidebar.
Calling tribe_calendar_mini_grid() directly or even embedding it using WordPress’s the_widget() template tag will unfortunately fail. We are aware of this issue … however for the time being all I can suggest is setting up a new sidebar and placing it via that sidebar.

MemberHi Andrea, in the same way as you did when you followed Jonah’s instructions, could you replace your custom events-advanced-list-load-widget.php template with the code contained here: http://pastebin.com/BkQFPBML
Let me know if it doesn’t help, but the idea with this modified code is that it should only show a second date for All Day events if it does indeed span multiple days.

MemberHi Chris, just acknowledging that we’ve seen your message: another team member will be along shortly to help you with this.
Barry
MemberHi Rich – have you positioned the widget outside of an actual widgetized sidebar area?

Some amount of output is being generated, but it stops right after the opening html tag.
Since you upgraded from 1.3, can I ask if you have customized templates in your theme’s events sub-directory (perhaps they were also configured for Twenty Eleven for testing?) If so, these may contain deprecated code – can you try swapping them out or simply deleting/temporarily renaming your theme’s events directory so that the plugin’s default views are used?
If that isn’t the problem, let me know and we’ll go from there 🙂
