Theme: Twenty Eleven (slightly modified)
Permalinks: standard (i have tried to set them to post name, but that does not work, because of my poly lang plugin)
Navigation is missing on http://clubtnt.eu/?post_type=tribe_eventsOctober 30, 2012 at 6:14 am #27345BarryMemberHi Brian. I actually suspect the permalinks may be the problem here – can you try disabling your poly lang plugin (temporarily of course) and setting your permalinks to the %postname% pattern – this would just help to isolate the source of the problem.
October 30, 2012 at 11:55 am #27355BrianParticipantHi Barry. I have disabled the poly lang plugin now and set my permalinks to %postname%.
October 30, 2012 at 12:05 pm #27356BrianParticipantMy event settings is now
The slug used for building the events URL.Your current Events URL is http://clubtnt.eu/events/October 30, 2012 at 12:46 pm #27357BarryMemberOK – that seems to go to a 404, though I can see the links at the top of the page.
Can you visit Settings > Permalinks and save the page (don’t actually change anything) just to ensure that permalinks have been flushed. Can you also ensure that you have some upcoming events in the system, if only for testing purposes?
(I note if I visit http://clubtnt.eu/?post_type=tribe_events directly there seem to be no upcoming events.)
October 30, 2012 at 1:09 pm #27359BrianParticipantI have made a test event and saved the permalinks page.
October 30, 2012 at 2:36 pm #27367BarryMemberOK, great. So if I visit http://clubtnt.eu/events/ it looks as though both the navigation (above your header image) and the events calendar itself are displaying, albeit there are some formatting issues in there.
Are you able to maintain pretty permalinks – and does that address the basic problem here?
October 30, 2012 at 4:02 pm #27373BrianParticipantYes i works now, but when i enable the poly lang plugin again i mess up and comes with a 404. I think it does that, because the poly lang want to have a page per language. Therefore it needs to be http://clubtnt.eu/?post_type=tribe_events i will have to use?
October 30, 2012 at 4:33 pm #27374BarryMemberHmm, unfortunately I am not at all familiar with Poly Lang.
Do you mean that Poly Lang doesn’t work with pretty permalinks, or just doesn’t work with The Events Calendar (regardless of whether the permalinks are pretty or not)?
Unfortunately, default permalinks don’t work as smoothly as they might with The Events Calendar. My understanding is that the component responsible for this, WP Router, may be retired from service in a future version and so we might look forward to a happier situation in one of our future releases.
November 1, 2012 at 8:40 am #27447BrianParticipantHi Barry. I have solved the problem. The “problem” was with the poly lang plugin. In the poly lang plugin, i had to tick of a box which hides the url language information for the standardlanguage.
Thanks for your replies
