ParticipantHello Guys i am in need of expertise for a website that I am working on at this moment. The test link is: http://dev.iadc.org.php53-4.dfw1-2.websitetestlink.com/
The Problem: The auto generated griview calendar is not showing up on the site. The site was originally on The events Calendar Pro ver. 1.3 but now after the upgrade I am not able to figure out why the /events directory is not showing up. I have disbled all plugind and reverted the them to the default 2011 theme. Please help.

Some amount of output is being generated, but it stops right after the opening html tag.
Since you upgraded from 1.3, can I ask if you have customized templates in your theme’s events sub-directory (perhaps they were also configured for Twenty Eleven for testing?) If so, these may contain deprecated code – can you try swapping them out or simply deleting/temporarily renaming your theme’s events directory so that the plugin’s default views are used?
If that isn’t the problem, let me know and we’ll go from there 🙂

ParticipantHello Barry. On the Testlink above, The 2011 Theme is active and there is no /events/ directory in this theme. What else could be causing this problem?

MemberInteresting: can I confirm that you tested this out with a default theme (like Twenty Eleven) and all non-Modern Tribe plugins deactivated simultaneously – can you also confirm that you are using version 2.0.9 of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO?

ParticipantYes, all of the other plugins are simultaneously disabled. And The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO version 2.0.9 are both active.

MemberThinking back to one of my initial observations:
Some amount of output is being generated, but it stops right after the opening html tag.
Can I ask if you have A) access to the error logs and can see anything in there B) which template you are using (see Events > Settings > Template > Events Template to determine this).
Thanks for your continued patience – I’m sure we can get to the bottom of this!

ParticipantHello Barry,
A) Yes I have access to the server error logs and the error being generated is
• [05-Nov-2012 17:34:48 UTC] The Events Calendar Log: Initializing Tribe Events on Nov, 5th at 05:11:48 pm
B) The template that I am using for the Events Template is the “Default Page Template” of the 2011 themeNovember 6, 2012 at 6:09 am #27588Barry
MemberHi David – I’ve replied to your email and will await your reply.

MemberTo summarize for the benefit of anyone else who might encounter similar difficulties, the problem seems to have been a directory named events at the same level as the WordPress installation (which happened to contain a file called index.html in this case).
That meant requests such as website.com/events/ were returning the HTML from that directory, due to the way the web server is configured to work.
David: if that answers your query I’m inclined to close this thread – but let me know if we’re off-beam here or if you need further assistance 🙂
