No problem; was it anything that might be helpful to other members of the community that you could share, or was it very specific?

    Hi Alan.

Are you sure that both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are still active? At this point in time, the content showing up here http://www.glendalechristian.org/events looks like a regular page or post.

Is that something you’ve set up while you work through the current problem? If so, just bear in mind that because the slug is also events that may conflict with our plugin – a workaround being to delete this page/post once you get the calendar running again or to change the Events URL Slug in Events > Settings > General.

Let me know how you get on!

    Hi David!

It would certainly require some amount of customization, but in principle the idea isn’t too complex – that said, we can’t offer up an official solution here because of the time it would take to get into the specifics.

We can definitely leave this open so that other members of the community can chip in.

Hi George – yep hopefully you’re sorted here with the hotfix but let us know if you need further help on this issue.

    Hi Lorna,

I can’t really advise you about using this other widget but what I can say is that it looks like the Events List Advanced Widget that ships with Events Calendar PRO should meet your needs here, with a little customization perhaps.

You could for instance set it to pull events from a specific category and you can also control the number of events that it lists.

If you want to add featured images (thumbnails) then that’s possible, too! I don’t think we have a tutorial for doing this with the Events List Advanced Widget but there is one for the Next Event Widget and the basic idea is similar.

    Some other useful reading:

Yeah it looks to me like a change might be needed in the plugin code, but I’m afraid I’ll have to bow out and leave it to the experts. Hopefully it won’t be too long and I can update you, but, again, it is likely to be a little slower coming at this time of year.

    Hi Phil.

I’ve asked for input from a member of the dev team on this one – please bear with us as response times are going to be slower than usual over the festive period. In the interim, can I just confirm the following:

I see you tried deactivating other plugins/your theme – did that have any impact on the problem?
Are you positive that your Eventbrite API key is correct?

(I’m sure it is all in order, but just wanted to double check.)

Hi Robert, sorry to hear that you are having problems here. Have you enabled automatic imports and/or have you tried manually importing?

Okey dokey, so yeah I was missing the obvious there. Basically, if you haven’t already done so please read up on template overrides first of all.

What you could then do is add a snippet like this one to your custom events/single.php template – the complete amended version might look like this.

    Does that help here?

    Hi Michael.

That post on the wordpress.org forums relates to a third party plugin that I can’t really help you with.

Although our own Facebook Events plugin ought to track the Facebook event ID (and looks like it should) I don’t think it actually is, so give me a moment to look into that in some more detail in case it’s a bug or in case I’m just missing something obvious and I’ll get back to you.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Thanks Anne.

I’m waiting on some input from one of the developers (who may contact you directly in this thread if necessary) and would ask for your patience, as members of both the support and development teams have less availability than normal over the festive period.
